My Ballard has the story and the police report. Right now there are no suspects and the attack is not being investigated as a hate crime—which is completely outrageous:
The SPD tells My Ballard that the police aren't investigating this as a hate crime because the victim—who suffered a subdural hematoma, had part of her skull removed, and was "drifting in and out of sleep" while the police spoke to her—failed to tell the police during that one and only interview that she was attacked for being trans
