From what I understand Kathe Perez does remote voice coaching via video calling with Skype. Right now I'm working her 3-disk system each morning while I commute to the office, but I'll probably do some 1:1 coaching in the future. A lot of the basics don't need much coaching, the strengthening bits, but I think a coach really helps once you're ready to start tightening things up.

Yes she does. I have a good friend who uses her services, and she has enjoyed great progress in her voice.

yeah I have to agree with Kathe Perez. She is worth it.
My voice has changed dramatically under her and well worth the time and effort spent into it.

When I get a job, I'm thinking about doing some sessions with Kathe Perez myself. It's quite convenient that she's like a 25-minute drive from me too. ;D

Let your fingers do the walkin' - Go directly to the yellow pages, if you pass go collect $200 (cause ya ganna need it): Speech and Language Pathologists.
I contacted the University of Wisconsin-Madison Department of Communicative Disorders (aka speech pathologist), which has their grad students work with MTF transitioners to develop there female voice. Works out at about $21 for an hour session. Speech and Language Pathologists charge $70-100 hr. If your lucky, your health care may pay for it - mine doesn't (A$$holes).

she's different for everyone. Some do skype, others go in person, some buy her CDs.
I bought her CDs. Spent 40 bucks and have a voice that I love. Not too shabby.

At last--a thread where I can actually help someone!
Kathe Perez is doing a 30-day "crash course" in voice feminization, details are here: http://30daycrashcourse.com/ (http://30daycrashcourse.com/)
Cost is $247, but if you sign up by Wednesday, September 7, it is $197. I signed up, as I am a quick learner but need feedback. It sounds perfect for me.

Zoey
I'm with Jamie - try contact the speech pathology school at your nearest university. They often have people studying their masters degrees or PhDs that can provide these services, often in a university clinic, for cheap. They're usually pretty good too because they are up with the latest research.
In reference to your earlier post, yes you do want someone who deals with speech disorders, not because you have one but because they are the ones with the low level skills and knowledge required to help.

Or you could buy her CDs and spend a total of 45 bucks
Part two of my interview with Kathe Perez for "The Exceptional Voice." (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Yc-MnWNXEO8#)
You should always try the cheaper way first

I tried vocal therapy and I hated it. It felt so awkward and I really don't think it was much help. I was able to achieve my female voice all by myself for FREE.
I came across some very helpful videos on YouTube. Try searching for candiFLA and look for her videos on "voice". They are amazing. I don't have the links at the moment.
If I can do it, you can do it.

Well, we are a mile high here in Denver! The lack of atmospheric oxygen makes us all a bit touched in the head.
