Title: Back hair
Post by: Dominick_81 on September 07, 2011, 09:50:38 PM
I'm noticing dark hairs on my back and I really hate it. It's not noticeable but I can see it when I put a mirror up to my back and I don't know if that means I'm gunna have a hairy back or what. I'm constantly shaving all over, including my back. Any other guys have hairy backs and does it bother you? It bother's me a lot. I wanna buy a razor for back hair but can't afford one now.

Haven't noticed any back hair but that might be because I can't see my back. I know my butt crack hair has been creeping up but I think it's like peach fuzz.

I have some back hair.  It's somewhat bothersome only because it's very random.  I actually don't mind back hair, so that's not a problem for me.  What I don't like is how sporadic it is.  Meaning, I have some long hairs in various spots on my back and shoulders but it has no pattern at all.

I wish I were flexible enough to shave my back.  Most of my hair is just under my binder between my shoulders.  And then there's that hair that seems to be trying to run away from my arm pits >:( Don't know any other cheap ways to take care of the hair I can't reach, tho.

I have back hair already and I'm pre T. I'll probably turn into a Wookiee on T. It doesn't bother me. I'm not shaving it. I never understood why so many people have an aversion to it.

I gave up trying to take a focused picture of my back. The hair on my torso, including back, is pretty much the same as the finer hair around my knee.

Honestly. my back is the only place on my body that i really would not be happy with hair growth. I really hope i dont end up with back hair, just personally. I dont know why im just not a fan.

If you had have told me years ago I'd be getting back hair I would have been very disgusted and distraught. Now that I am on T, living the way I always should have, developing  leg hair, abdo and chest hair - the back hair that I have noticed just on my shoulders and shoulder blades etc, I've really just gotten used to it! Like the rest of the hair - it's just there, its part of me! And it is part of the deal and gamble I took when starting T. I knew before that looking at my genetics it was going to be a definite probability..

I can't remember what I looked like pre all the hair I have now, I'm sure whatever happens to my back will be the same! Do I want to be a gorilla - no! But at the same time I wouldn't like to go back to then hairless wonder I was pre T. But if it gets bad and I can't stand it - I'll shave it or get one of those creams to get rid of it, just like anyone else. I would just pray for no or few ingrown hairs - that was my brother's biggest problem when he tried to shave and wax his back.. And I don't mean a few ingrowns, like his whole back  :-\

Ditto.
I didn't think I'd want chest hair, either. But now I get all excited when I find some new hair there, even though it has to be properly lit to even see it.

Only thing that disgusts me is the remnants of femaleness.

I'm not on T, but am of the naturally hairy variety. I have a few wayward hairs on my shoulders that I pluck once every two or three weeks, and some hair on my lower back which I leave. I tried shaving the stuff on my lower back, but it was really uncomfortable when it grew back after a few days. And as I later found out, the lower back hair is actually not that uncommon in guys, so I'm not as annoyed with it now :P

I don't really have much in the way of back-hair.
I've always been pretty hairy, even before T and had an abundance of dark fuzzy hair on my lower-back, but that's still all I've got there. My back is the one area that doesn't seem to be getting hairy - everywhere else though is an entirely different story. I'm the girliest effing lumberjack that you've ever seen xD
Also...if I happen to grow back-hair, I can't see it bothering me too much, unless it's like really long and really dark and curly...like my uncle's o.o; He's like ->-bleeped-<-ing sasquatch, seriously...

I'm not on T and I already have back hair as well as a happy trail! My back hair isn't so dark and it's still soft at the moment, but oh well - means when I start T I might turn into a proper bear, and that makes me happy!  :)

:D that's sorta how I feel too. I've got some back hair and pre-t I didn't really care one way or the other but now I love it.

I actually think if you (try and) keep shaving it, the 'end-result' will only be much worse and hairy-er(?) than if you'd leave it.

There's a good chance I'll be rather hairy myself, but I'm not that bothered by it. I'm small for a woman, let alone a man. (and that living in the bloody Netherlands even, where both men and women tend to be rather tall) But I'd rather be a small hairy guy (eventhough, I admit, it sounds a bit creepy..).

But again, shaving it might make it all worse.

Could have your body waxed. Or get a ruler or yard stick with a razor taped to the end. Waxing seems like it would be less itchy.

They say it's a myth that hair will grow back thicker and darker if you shave it so that's why I have been shaving it b/c I don't think it will grow back and thicker or darker... at least I hope not.

In my mind I think most women find back hair unattractive that's why back hair bothers me so much and I personally don't like it.

Body waxing sounds painful. I tried taping a razor to a coat hanger, (I read it somewhere a guy did this b/c they didn't have back hair razors in that time period or something) but it didn't work, but the ruler sounds like a good idea, I'm gunna give that a try.

i have longer thicker straight blond  hair on my upper back i also have it on my chest, the center of my lower belly and above my belly button. im pretty sure thats where and how my darker hair will grow when i get on T. as thats what happened with my leg hair when i hit puberty.

I have fine blonde type hair all over my back, with darker longer hairs sporadically covering my upper back.
My partner plucks them for me, I don't want to shave them as I don't want to feel the gross stubble growing in, or make them any darker than they already are.

I've understood it to be a myth as well, but still. De hairs looks/feels darker and thicker 'cause they have been cut, just how its supposed to look. (waxing shouldn't do that, not as bad anyway)

But I know people that feel that shaving almost like.. 'stimulates' other hairpockets to produce hair. I don't know if that's true, but my boyfriend is pretty sure he's producing more hairs on his face than before he started shaving. (he's pre-T so that has nothing to do with it, he was just a rather hairy girl, facial wise anyway) And I know more people who feel that it might stimulate the growth.
