Title: Peeing frustration
Post by: NikkiJ on September 14, 2011, 10:06:40 PM
Well, I have to admit, I'm not satisfied with the way I pee.

At first I thought I was just being too sensitive, but now, 11 mos after SRS, I think somethings up. I just don't "gush" like other women. I was inspecting with a mirror recently, and it looks like I'm just too..."tight" to really flow. It looks great, but doesn't lend to a great pee.

My surgeon's office has sent me three intubating stylets, of increasing size. My instructions are to wait until about 10am when most people feel like peeing, and to insert each of these 1/2 inch into my urethra. They're only taking responsibility for the first 1/2 inch. If I pee better after this "dilation", then they'll take care of it. If not, it's my problem.

I'm having my right hip replaced next month (a whole other story...this year has sucked), and if they catheterize me for that procedure, it might clear things up too.

Wish me luck. Whatever it takes.

Walking with a cane does not do anything for my social life, so it has been very difficult for me this year. I actually told my ex I'm bored with life.

Hope the dilation works for you. Some people actually get off on that kind of thing ...but it gives me a bit of the heebie jeebies just thinking about it.

Luckily my pee seems to stream pretty well, once in a while still gets a little messy but not too bad.

Thanks girls, I'm going to try to do it today, and we'll see what the results are.
