Larry Duane Miller was sitting in his car with the engine idling and the garage door closed.

His partner of nearly 20 years, Bill Brockman, was asleep in their Cathedral City house.

In the middle of a January night in 2008, Miller rolled down the car's window, breathing in the fumes.

A sad begining, but a nice ending that she finally got to be the person she should have been from the begining, she passes well for a late transitioner, its good to hear a story about somebody who has saved their own life, as the heading rightly says ''finally living life - as herself''

"Born a man". I have this image of the doctor holding up a baby with a mustache saying "It's a man"!
