Please release the lock on Anns thread.
I was really tired and was upset by some of the comments made by forum members. I have deleted my comment.
And its my turn to say good bye.
I transitioned 20 years ago and for several reasons stayed away from the community. One because as I had just fought for and won custody of my 5 year old daughter and because I was told by members of the community not to fight for her.
In June 2010 I finally had surgery. I thought I had all my research done on surgeons and techniques, but made some terrible errors. On return from Thailand, developed an infection and was shuttled around doctors for weeks, the pain becoming horrible before I could get a doctor to give me a script for an anti biotic.
The surgeon really didnt give me any directions for care, nor directions on dialating. 6 weeks after surgery, I found Susans.
Thanks to some of the people here, I got back on track for dialating and survived the loss of clitorus and scar tissue "down there". I really appreciate the help they gave. I felt comfortable here, with others that had under gone the surgery, swapping tips, tricks and advice.
With the change in attitude in the "Post Operative Life" forum, I no longer felt comfortable, so I moved to read the "For Us" for post operative girls. It was calmer, less anguish than the other forums.
That didnt last long. The same individuals followed and made this area unuseable. I dont blame the girls who moved on, but understand why they have.
I wish the best to those that still struggle with GID the best. May you make wise decisions and you, like me, reach a level of self contentment and have a happy life.

This seems to becoming prevalent. Please people, can we not take ourselves so seriously, it gets in the way of the truly important things.

It's starting to feel like everyone is leaving :( I'm glad you fought for custody and I'm sorry the community said you should do any differently. Although I have not seen many posts from you until now I wish you the best of luck with everything and I hope that you will consider coming back every once and a while.
