Title: Can LASER sessions be dangerous & bursts/explode your silicon boobs?

I have a friend who is so hasty to put a silicon boob implant, however she hasn't cleared off all body hair yet on her chest area with Laser Hair Removal sessions.
If she puts a silicon implant now, later when she will do the laser again on her chest area/nipples etc... will it be dangerous to the point the laser can burst/leak the silicon gel inside boob implant inside and implode/explode or something or it won't affect it in any sort?

No effect. The laser can only heat up the pigment at the roots of the hair follicles (and then only if it's dark) - it's not going to penetrate anywhere deep enough to even warm up the implants. If course, she needs to wait some time after surgery so as not to be having laser over fresh scarring.

Have not heard of any problems with implants. Her LHR Tech or Nurse should be able to answer that question. The amount of energy used will not penetrate past the Dermis layer. LHR works by heating the hair folicle, thereby destroying the blood vessels supplying blood and hormones to the hair. LHR works only on dark hairs. Shouldn't be any problems.

P.S. Padma got there first, but brought a good point about allowing the incisions to heal first. Ask your friend to hold off until the LHR is done, probably 6-8 months. Large implants may make the task more difficult if there is a lot of hair.

Lasers used for hair removal, WILL NOT, harm silicone, saline, or gel breast implants.

Can high intensity lasers cause silicon life to form within the implant?
Got me wondering if the laser could puncture the implant like a tiny pinprick size, apparently not from the replies, I'll ask the nurse 2morrow for a laugh haha :)

I didn't think that some people get chest hair. I'm lucky that I've never had that problem.
