OK so I went to the mall, saw all the pretty girls, and got really, REALLY upset! :(

Eve is right. What was your main reason for going there? My self I have been testing the water at the mall.

I did for a while too, then realised there were a lot of GG's out there who I looked better than too.  As far as I have been able to work out, and I presume you are in the USA, American women seem to come in two varieties.  Drop dead gorgeous and the size of a house. ;)  Just try and look for a few of the latter!

The mall is far from a fair place to chose a sample from for comparison purposes. You might as well watch the Miss Universe contest to beat yourself up to. IMHO about the only real, "real life", place where you find everyday women just being themselves and not trying to dress to impress is the grocery store.

I've never been jealous of attractive women for being attractive, but I am jealous of them for being able to live as women in society and never having to worry about being seen as male.

I often look at women who would not be considered conventionally attractive and I wish I could look like them.

I totally get that feeling! I live in Orange County, CA and work in Newport Beach at a pretty upscale center. Honestly probably 80%+ of the people I see could be models. It's hard not to feel envious when you see all of those people just living there life and probably never having to think about such a basic part of themselves feeling so wrong when all you want to do is live your life without all of these gender issues. I've often avoided going out just to keep myself from having to feel that way. All you, or any of us can really do for that matter, is just focus on the task at hand and making progress through your transition. It's not easy, and sometimes there are roadblocks and setbacks, but as long as you're doing something, however minute it may be (ie focusing on your health and skincare, growing your hair, working on your voice, starting hair removal), someday you can be yourself too.

Well they put a lot of effort into their appearance too, you can't forget...

Maybe the person in the clown drag makeup avatar shouldn't be saying this.

But you have what you're born with, what you're willing to work with, and how you present it.

The more time anyone spends on their appearance, the more it's gonna pay off. That includes makeup, hair, getting enough sleep, exercising, etc
