Title: Breast Growth Question
Post by: Skyanne on October 01, 2011, 01:22:21 PM

Not quite sure how to ask this...I've been on hormones for about seven months now and I noticed some breast growth. However, it doesn't seem that much in terms of breast size (they stick out like two inches from my chest at most). The thing is though, my nipples are huge now, they just keep growing and I'm getting kinda worried I'm gonna end up with weird giant nipples and small breasts. Is this normal or should I ask my Endo?

Strange about the nipples growth, what are your HRT regimens?

Some girls actually have large nipples/areolas and small breasts. I'm not sure how how common it is but I've seen it in por....uh, I mean, artistic pictures of the human body.

My nipples have gotten larger and rounder since starting. It's normal for them to increase in size.

Everyone develops differently and it takes years for breasts to develop :) 7 months in is way too early to tell but it sounds like you're developing as per usual... But yes, check with your Dr.
After nearly two years of HRT my breasts have gone through a variety of changes from the big nipple cones to finally beginning to look like a normal pair of girls and they are still developing
It really is a luck of the draw kinda deal to be honest :) Look at cis girls, some get mosquito bites, others get back breaking bombs, but the most common size is 34B

Every girls breasts are different, and the path to development is different. If you look at the medical information available online, the early stages of breast growth(I think they're called Tanner Stages) seem to fit with what you're experiencing. If you have a good relationship with your mother or any sisters, you could ask them what they experienced. It might give you a clue as to what to expect.
I'm a smidge envious - my nips aren't doing much of anything after seven months. The rest is slowly gaining fat though.

Sounds like what you're experiencing is the Tanner IV stage. It's a normal stage of breast development, but it does continue! Tanner V has the breast grow out to "fit" the new nipple. It may take a couple months, though. (You're there fast! I've gotten to Tanner IV only after about a year.)

You can get an idea about the great variance in female breast and nipple shape here:

My actual breast tissue is growing, but nipples haven't changed much, larger nipples r def way more feminine, congrats

This is normal. Everyone's breast growth is different. Try to remember what girls in junior high looked like. Some had very developed breasts. Others had none. Still others had strange in-between breasts. Nipple growth is a good thing, trust me. Large nipples will look much better than small nipples if you ever decide to get implants.

My nipples grew a considerable amount over a the first few years of hormones. When I had my implants the nipples seemed even larger due to the skin being stretched
