Title: pre T facial hair
Post by: anibioman on October 01, 2011, 05:29:15 PM
ive gotten some pre T facial hair that is more dense and longer then average female facial fuzz. its like the blond hair thats around my hair line but curlier but still not very curly. its only on the sides of my cheeks where my side burns would come down from. what could cause this? i shaved pretty regularly and i stopped i dont really know why but could shaving really make it thicker because im pretty sure thats a myth. could it be a rise in natural testosterone? im trying to figure this out so i can try to promote more growth.

I have an adnormal amount of facial hair too --- I am pre T as well.  I could grow a mustache if my wife allowed it.  I had my hormone levels tested and my T level is above normal

A lot of FAAB people have that.  Some people have more body hair than others, simple as that.

It is fairly normal, but can be a sign of PCOS or other endocrine imbalances. I am so not a doctor, though.

Yeah, some people are just hairier than others.  I pretty much have full facial hair pre-T, but I'm not sure what would have caused it other than genetics.  I've heard that stimulating the area (like rubbing it) can help, but that could just be a myth too.

As others have said, hormones, genetics, a condition such as PCOS: any of those could cause facial hair to grow pre-T. I think if you keep shaving it, it will grow back more bristly and more like male facial hair - that's what happened to me anyway.  :)
