Title: Beauty is pain! Wow my future looks so beautiful!

If Beauty is pain......... Wow my future looks so beautiful! (Painful) I am not a big fan of pain in any way physical or emmotional, I try to avoid it as much as possible! But all I read about here says how "beautiful" my transition will be, tweezing, waxing, lazer, Electrolysis, tracheal shave, BA, FFS,SRS,......WOW! It makes me so scared and unwilling to come out or even go get these things done. Yeah..so... I think I need a hug.

It's really easy to get overwhelmed, seriously. Just take it a piece at a time and it wont seem so bad. Yeah, laser sucks, but seeing the hair fall out in clumps is SO worth it! In all honesty, transition has made me into a tough chicka. Pain? Bring it on! >:-)

I hear you there. I really hate pain myself (even though I put up a pretty good tough guy/girl act), but when it comes to something important like this I think to myself, "Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do." And trust me, emotional pain is one of the worst things for me!
For example, since I've started working my feet (high arches) and my back have been killing me. I just keep telling myself to deal with it and hope that I'll get over it eventually. Sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do, even if it means you don't want to do it. Think of the results and you'll get through it!

In an odd way, even though being in physical pain is draining, I kind of like it. It feels like I am burning away my old body to create something new that really belongs to me.

"Beauty is pain" I said that last month when I got my face waxed. I'm going again this Sunday it is worth it. I plan to move up to electrolysis in the future. The pain will end on my face and start somewhere else. I'm glad there are brakes in between.

But even taking it a piece at a time sounds like prolonging and stretching out the pain! I'm glad your feeling good and doing it! You have a great attitude. Guess I'm not a tough chicka yet...great now I feel like a wimp! Waah! ;)

I put a a pretty good tough guy act at work too; I have to in my profession, I share the same thought process with you" you gotta do what you gotta do" but when it comes to this, I just don't know. Thank you for your advise I really liked the" just think of the end results!"

@Jen-Jen, yes. I'm looking forward to it. I'm not getting my face waxed like I thought. Someone has helped me to move up to the next level. I don't know what to think about it really? I'm happier than words can express at the moment.

I have been told by g-girls that beauty is painfull and uncomfortable..
Waxing and keeping yourself pretty is a pain, but worth it.. when you look good..... even growing breasts entails some pain...
also the more uncomforable clothes are, the better you look... I have this one stapless bra, it feels very uncomfortable.. but my breasts look great in them...but I still wear the bra..
and heels, yes they can be uncomfortable and hurt your feet.. but I think my legs look better in them .. so I wear them...
Yes, I do love making myself pretty.

No pain,
Except laser to the upper lip, damn I have to go again.
High heels. so what. You get use to them and they are so gorgeous. Pain? Pleasure. The first second your legs are checked out. Mmmmmmmm
Wax doesn't hurt.
I could go on

Sarah7,
I get what you mean. After I started tucking, I didn't care how much pain I was in because of that or anything I'd have to do to feel the way I want.

It doesn't for some...depends on the size of your cojones. My first time tucking went a little like this:
*tucks*.....*puts on gaff and panties properly for the first time*....*walks up to the mirror, wincing in pain*....."I...look...great >.o"
*collapse*
And I've been doing it 24/7 ever since :) it became completely free of pain and discomfort after a few days....now I get extremely dysphoric when I go about with it untucked.

Come on girls, a little pain for what you get.
Life is sometimes pain, the one who don't want this, doesn't want to live either.
Pain can go togheter with incredible joy, what to think about cis women when they give birth, don't you think they will have pain?
The reward for this will be even bigger.
Just be a big girl and don't cry for a little pain.

Any time :)
And if you haven't tried yet, I'd use a gaff from the start (even a homemade one), but that's just my preference. Contrary to what I've heard, in my experience if you use the right materials it makes tucking more comfortable, physically and mentally. If you put it on and position it right, it stops your unwanted bits from rubbing on the inside of your thighs, which most underwear aren't wide enough to do, and with a sturdy gaff material and panty you get a look and feel that's unmatched.
One thing that gets me through living in boy mode is doing this. Once the whole process is done, I feel as if it's just not there. It's like a superhero's costume....put it on and bam, my (not so) secret identity and manhood are gone. lol

What a fantastic subject line Jen! It stands alone as a positive affirmation that can bear some repeating throughout the day. Plus sooooo much more beautiful then the alternative "that which does not kill us makes us stronger"
Thank you for the beautiful start to my day
For me, emotional pain is far worse than any physical pain. Physical pain is transitory lasting from a few tens of milli-seconds to maybe a week or two. In many cases readily numbed. In my pre-jurasiac days when I first seriously considered, even experimented with, transition as an option there were many painful wounds still open from childhood and teenage years for being physically different and standing out (aka a big tall fat target). Any laughter heard around me like in a mall would instantly send cold chills up my back, and that was 100 lbs lighter and in guy mode! Only in the past few years have I noticed that for the most part laughter no longer hits me like it did. Back then the prospect of voluntarily leading a life which can expose me to ridicule was one of the primary factors which led me back to try my best at faking being a guy.

Pain level 1= trivial. 10 = scream and cry and not look forward to it. None of the pain levels approach a burn or a dislocation BTW.
Waxing legs, back arms 2.
Full face laser 8
Repeat laser on high intensity on the upper lip 9-10
ear piercing 1
All day in 2-3 inch heels 5-6 but drops after practice.
Eye brow waxing/plucking/tinting 1
Satisfaction for the above: Total.
Hugs

Ok so I tried some hair remover labeled specifically for the upper lip, I followed the instructions. I tested a small area to see if I got any reactions, waited 24 hrs and was good. So today I use it on my upper lip, well lets just say it reacted! I now look like Ronald McDonald, not to mention it burns! Ahhh!

Eh, I'm just kind of being dragged along into all of this. No money and no patience, bad skin and lots of little hairs, make this a really tough transition. The big thing is time, everything will take a while. Fortunately, I have like 3 things going for me right now, so hopefully things will change soon.

I look forward to it in a way or another, I'm definitely not turned away by pain.
I nearly fell asleep during my Tattoo's, which I may or may not have removed after my transition.
So bring on the pain =)
