Title: Tucking helps posture?
Post by: LivingInGrey on October 08, 2011, 09:38:45 AM
I have been tucking more regularly over the last few weeks and I think I've noticed a few changes and I wanted to see if anyone else seems to remember or has noticed these changes also.

Previously I had only tucked once in a while, when I was at home and still trying to figure out a good way to get it to work properly without having to resort to having women's underwear hiding somewhere (at the time my S.O. wasn't ready to allow me to have women's underwear). Now that my S.O. is a little more willing to allow me to be comfortable, even when I'm around her I've been tucking on a regular basis and I've noticed a few changes in posture and gait.

With tucking I've noticed that my feet are nearly in line with my shoulders when walking and because I don't care anymore if I look like I have breasts (not on HRT but I have enough breast tissue to fill an A or B cup depending on the bra with a Belly to Muscle Index of 28.5... I hate the BMI system because it doesn't take into account for muscle mass.) my spine has returned to a more natural curvature. I'm finding it easier to stand and walk more throughout the day and I'm able to do more throughout the week where as my back would be sore by time I had worked three days in a row. It's still a bit difficult to sit with my legs completely together but I can at least close them enough to fit two fist widths between my knees if my feet are side by side or even crossed at the ankles under the chair.

Has anyone else noticed that after spending a fair amount of time tucking their posture and gait seems to improve or is it just me?

I've never really had a problem in that area. My gait and stance have always been fairly feminine as I'm NOT well endowed in that region. I have a very smooth line when in my cycling outfit; and on cold winter days, they quite regularly go into self retraction mode. I've further been blessed with slightly wider hips than most and a big'ish bum to match. Sorry I couldn't have been more help to you. It's just the way I was built. Be safe, well and happy.
Lotsa luv

Our posture often expresses how we feel. You might just feel better while tucking and therefore have all these positive changes.

I tuck every day, all day but nights I have to let my crotch breath some fresh air or I get rash. So one morning I was in a hurry and forgot to tuck and after a while I started wondering why I feel so uncomfortable and awkward. Then I realized things are not in their usual place and was quiet amazed by the resulting overall lack of well being physical and mental equally.

At least for me this has been proven to be the truth.
