Title: here i am
Post by: Nickie_66 on October 09, 2011, 04:29:42 PM
hmmm i figured i haven't introduced myself , so here i am, i'm Nickie, from french nowhere,

i work with computers, i play ukulele, and some people say my transition is over, they're so nice :p

so, in relation with this board's theme, i'm almost 2 years postop, i have no social issues, i don't look SO bad in a boyish way, so i guess i should be living a happy life far away from trans boards, like some do, but nah, i'm there, trying to be useful :D

and hmmm.... i love cheese pizzas, and japan :p

yayy!

Hi Nickie, it's nice to meet you! I live near Boston, I've never been to Japan, and I like pizza, too! See you around, hugs, Tracey

Hi Nickie, welcome!

Both Japan and pizza are awesome, and you liking them can only imply that you're an awesome person as well!
I would love to actually visit Japan sometime, they have such an interesting culture.

One of the most hilarious weekends of my life was spent trying to find vegetarian food in Carcassonne ;D. No, goose necks do not count ::).

Yeah, it was either pizza, or toast with goat's cheese and honey on (the latter was very good, but tiny). I ate a lot of crisps that weekend :).

Oh, what am I saying? We stayed at a little hotel outside Carcassonne, and the landlady's sister ran an amazing restaurant in an old church bell tower. She made us a special veggie meal, and it was a real treat (the waiter was cute, too, but don't tell my ex-wife I said so...)

Ah yes, I have been there a while ago, but do not remember it very well.  I think the 'condom' was invented there.

i'm about an hour away from the city called Condom, where is the international museum of condoms :)

but t's just a funny recuperation of the city's name, i don't think there's an "official inventor of the condom" who ever lived there, unlike Cadillac, in the same region, wich IS kind of related to the car maker's name i think .... but i'm no wikipedia :D

yeah that is true, it's like surgery is the ultimate goal for some, i don't agree with that philosophy, i don't think you're necessarily over with it the very day your surgery is done,

of course, in my case i have surgery issues, but even if i had a perfect result right away, it's definitely not the "trigger" for me to feel like "not trans anymore" or such ... it's more like a complex mix between a whole physical bunch of complexes, and a more psycological release,

so in my case, i have some more work left :p

but i'm not trans-centered either and i wouldn't spend whole days on tg-related boards and sites,

i stick to the "we are not only trans" philosophy :)

hey, as an example to that,  got a ukulele-playing chanel on youtube  (http://www.youtube.com/user/yattaandyou) called "No Rehearsals !" :D

any musicians here? :D
