Title: Would starting to use a binder be a good idea? Also, my chest size...
Post by: nickm1492 on October 28, 2011, 07:23:21 PM
I JUST started to accept things. I came to the realization that I am trans and there is no point in ignoring my feelings. However, I don't have medical insurance and I figured I wouldn't start my transition until I got medical insurance because that is the only way I can acquire T. It would be a while from now. So I figured I would get myself into better shape that way the T can really make me look the way I want. Besides, getting in better shape is never a bad thing. Anyway, I had a mini breakdown/revelation over my chest (breasts...Hate them). I really hate having them and I think binding would be a good thing. I just have to wait till maybe Christmas to ask for binders and also until I'm out of the classes I have now. I rather not have these students see me going from breasts to no breasts, or for that matter, the professors. So I will wait it out. What little is left of this semester.
Here is my problem. I have DD breasts. I'm hoping that with exercise, I will be able to bring them down considerably. But anyway, would any binder work at all with these? I'm sure it would be more painful because they are so big. Anyone have experience with this?

Losing weight may or may not decrease your chest size, it all depends on how your body burns fat. You could bind with either an underworks tri top or an underworks 997 successfully. Those are the two binders most commonly used by people with larger chests.

What's the difference between the tri-top and 997? Is the tri-top tighter than the 997? I thought maybe it would be since it's 3 layers

It's tighter, and shorter.

I'm a F cup and I have both the tri top and the 997. I think the 997 works better. The tri top isn't long enough to squish them down completely.
In my experience not having insurance is cheaper. When I was using my parents insurance I had to pay a $30 co pay when I went to the doctors. Now it doesn't cost me anything because they use a sliding sale based on income. T is pretty cheap.
