After serving as a British secret agent in Nazi-occupied France, Rose Robertson would set up the first help-line for U.K. parents of gay children. The pioneer died peacefully last week at the age of 94.

Everytime I read about an old lady who used to be a secret agent, I can't help but wonder how much of an effective asskicker she is. (was :()

Come on, at that time the enemy was a common one: Fascism. The Italian CNL (National Liberation Committee) contained hardline Communists, Christian Democrats and even Monarchists. Sometimes there just has to be a United Front.

Put it to you this way, she survived behind enemy lines and lived to a very ripe old age and did something (probably more than one thing) very meaningful and helpful to others with her life.
