Title: I'm tired of fighting. I'm moving out.
Post by: owl on November 07, 2011, 05:00:15 AM
My mom and I have been arguing over stupid things for the past year. Shes always running me down, calling me names, and telling me how useless I am. Enough with the fighting, i'm out. I'm going to this apartment complex that is low income, and everything is included in the rent. They have 1 space available, so i'm marching my ass up there soon. I don't know how to tell my mom. Shes going to be mad. Really...really..mad. Shes going to turn this whole mess on me, and blame me for all her bickering. I'm getting my priorities in order, and moving out.

*deep breath*

I'm excited.
Although there are downsides, i'm looking at the bright side.

I moved out when I was young, almost too young depending on who you ask.

There are down sides, but the freedom is worth every penny earned, and subsaquently spent on bills. Your mom will get over it, she's probably spent meny years dreading this but in the end it's all a part of being a mother.

My relationship with my mother got far better after I moved out. when I was living with her she even called the cops on me once and had all of my stuff moved out onto the front lawn when I was 16.  Now it's like none of those years even existed.

Congrats on the courage to move out. This starts the real test of who you are. You might make a few mistakes, we all do but hang in there.

And don't forget to tell your mother you love her.

I moved out when I was 16 and although at times it was very very hard and I had points of not knowing where I was sleeping that night it was worth every second. Freedom to live how you want and be yourself is the best thing a person can have in my opinion.
