Title: Transgender summer on CH4 (UK)
Post by: Jayne on November 07, 2011, 03:53:14 PM
I've just seen an ad for a program on tomorrow night, it's called transgender summer & follows a group of people going through transition, I don't know if it's a one off or a series but it will be interesting to watch & may educate a few people.

I've sent a text to my mother asking her to watch it (her phone goes to answerphone today so she's probably playing bowls again  ::)) I doubt she'll make the effort but anythings worth a try.

The program is on at 10pm on CH4 in the UK, people outside the UK may be able to find it on 4OD the next day

Great programme, the first I have seen that does not have a sensationalist agenda.  It helps that Channel Four has signed an agreement to treat transgender issues seriously and that they are working with transgender groups in the UK.  Definitely worth a wathc for both MTF's and FTM's

I've started a seperate topic in one of the more popular categories, i've put a link for several sites to view this in the hope it will enable more people to view this: https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,110369.msg835863.html#msg835863 (https://www.susans.org/forums/index.php/topic,110369.msg835863.html#msg835863)

I hadn't realised that ch4 has signed an agreement to treat TG issues seriously but after seeing how well they've approached the subject with this program it doesn't come as a suprise
