Kia Ora,
::) Do you ever enjoy being trans ? What I mean by this is do you find it a good conversation piece, being at times the centre of attention-especially in a trans-friendly environment...
I came 'out' twice, the first when I fully acknowledged my transsexual nature-then after transition and blending into society, I've come out to people that needed to know about my past...
I must admit at times it can be an interesting experience watching the person's face and body language as they take in this information... :icon_yikes:
However the first outcoming was a somewhat euphoric event, finally free from the cocoon, a new found freedom, I wanted to share this freedom with anybody who would listen, it was a truly euphoric experience...
Nowadays for the most part I'm in the closet just a run of the mill middle age woman with children, happy and content with life...
::) I could be wrong but I'm under the impression for some trans-people the shock value of their trans-status is something they rather enjoy and would miss being centre of attention if they were to go stealth or semi-stealth[like myself]
When the euphoria ends would you miss the lime light ? Or would you welcome it ?
Metta Zenda :)

I hate being the centre of attention. I wish being trans was just boring and ordinary and then I wouldn't need to be stealth. But it's not so I feel that stealth is my only way to avoid being "the trans girl."

I'm sure people know... But I don't talk about it. I don't care.
But apparently none of the straight guys I knew over the past year had any idea. They were amazed when I told them. Like, "dammmmnnnn hella good job"

Echo echo echo. I'm glad that being trans has taught me about aspects of gender and sexuality that would otherwise be a mystery to me (though as a lesbian, I likely wouldn't have been entirely clueless either), but most of the time it's not good or bad, just sort of a hassle, so I stay stealth.
