The only thing you need, as you said yourself, is voice practice. I can definitely hear that you can do it, and if I heard you over the phone I would gender you female, but you just need to practice to maintain it better!
But yeah, if for some obscure reason you don't get into the colab channel, I will first go and question Joey, doing both the good AND the bad cop act, and then I will suggest that you continue making videos anyway on your own. Because I would watch them.

yeah thats a fair point. My only concern really would be not having enough real world experience to actually talk about much. I was planning on making videos of my whole transition if I can get a decent camera. I'm still not sure myself if I would be ready for a colab so I might just leave it. At least for the moment.

I hear ya Lynn. Being comfortable is your first goal. Its really based your confidence level. It took me a while to get there. Its not easy. The best way to approach it is to take a step at a time.

Thanks a bunch. :icon_redface: The intro I put a clip of a song I made back in the day. Never got a chance to finish it. That song actually started to turn into something completely different than I wanted it to be. lol.
I was using the editor that came with my Cam "Creative Live Central 3" (software). It sucks, too much CPU usage. lol. So I decided to use another free one which is called "Windows Live Movie Maker". This I added the song and pictures. It also has text edit. Not bad for being free. If your computer has the min requirements, you can download it free on the Microsoft webpage. Not sure if you are running on a windows environment, Mac, or Linux. I think youtube has some editing tools on there as well, I didn't really mess with youtube, so its a first for me too. lol. But I remember seeing some options for adding text on the youtube.

Awww...Thankyou! I've been taking lessons from Kathe Perez. Voice was something that I was so dysphoric over for a long, long time. In fact, I'm sure most of you would think I'm weird that I am not fulltime already. The best part is that I may be able to get out of the house as me once every other week or so due to my work schedule.

I think you should just include everyone, and have guest appearances by those who can't commit to making regular videos. I've watched many collaborative channels and the problem seems to be keeping people who will commit, not having too many people who want to contribute in a long term committed fashion. I think everyone has something valuable to contribute.

YT imposes a ten minute limit until you reach 20 videos. Then it goes up to 15 minutes. At least, I think that's how it works.

Yeah unfortunately that's where I posted my first video and it was just shy of 15min. But I think a max of ten mins, should be good.

What Emma had said about the 10 minute limit is true.
I'm not sure about it unlocking it to 15 minutes after 20 videos, but if you WANT to make your video that long, then go right ahead (:

They can message me and I can always send a mass message to everyone letting you know who want's to be a sub.
That way you can use someone when you don't want to post a week, or you can't
The theme/topics can be about whatever!
I'm guessing when someone comes up with a topic, there has to be some sort of mutual agreement.
It obviously can't be a topic that only 2 people want to do.
If there's one person who doesn't feel like doing the topic, thats when you can get a sub.
Or if you're sick, busy, unable to make a video for whatever reason.

Your video has to be uploaded whatever day you are. Ex. If you're Tuesday, it has to be up on Tuesday.

Also, TransByDef ladies I was wondering if we could get some sort of an e-mail list going. Just so we can all correspond regularly about channel stuff, changes in schedule, asking for a sub, etc. And it would be cool to all stay in touch with eachother in terms of asking for topic suggestions and video troubleshooting.

I try to keep mine under six minutes on purpose. For those with ADD or maybe ADHD. Six minutes seems to be the sweet spot, unless you're moving locations and stuff.

I promised I'd make a video, and I ended up not getting around to doing so. I was sick for a few days and then it honestly just slipped out of my mind.
Anyway, I've just tried to get some sort of video together, but my webcam mic is apparently absolutely terrible, so that's no good. I then tried using my headset, but I just look very silly with that thing on while making a video, so I ended up passing on that too.
Sooo I'm going to try and look for a solution. The solution will likely be to get a good high quality webcam sometime in the future (as I would like to at least make personal videos on my own channel in the future). I have no idea when or how I will make a video, but for now I'm pulling back from the whole sub thing.
When I'm able to make videos, I will announce it with an actual video and post it here. :)
