Sounds good, hopefully everything goes well for you down there.  Dr. Cardenas is one of the doctors I'm considering for my eventual FFS (which is several months away, at the very least).

FFS photo results of his. What made you decide to go with Cardenas? Was it cost savings or have you any experience seeing his results?
   Their office told me that he performs the "open technique" as opposed to an endoscopic procedure. In the wrong hands the open technique can be troublesome.

Yes, as I understand it the bone around the sinus area is removed, shaped and re-installed with a titanium plate and screws.
Someone correct me if got it wrong.

that's right, but that's the technique that most ffs surgeons perform and it has best results.

Zukowski in Chicago does. You will find info on the technique on his website. According to him when the open technique is not done properly you could have
a sinus headache for life. I would rather look like Godzilla than have a sinus headache the rest of my life. I can't figure out whether he's the only honest one in regards to the negative consequences of the open technique or if he's full of B.S.. I've gotten quotes from six different FFS docs and my decision on which Dr. I'll use is hanging up on this issue.

And Tristan, I am thinking of going to see Dr Cardenas also in February. I will decide the date after meeting Dr Z in TO. It would be nice to have the two of us down in Mexico to help each other and for support

Yes Ananicole, Dr Z. is coming to TO January 18th. You have to call his office to reserve your seat for the lecture and u also need to book a private appointment with him if you want a one to one consult.

There are two very detailed reviews in the "links to more reviews" section.
I think they and the others are legit.

Mexico would be a 14-24 hrs flight for me, depending on the airline. But even with an expensive airline, I would still save about 5000-6000 US-Dollars for the same procedure compared to U.S. or European surgeons. This is a lot.

The only thing I was wondering about is that there are no before and after pictures on his website.  :(

Have you had rhinoplasty and/or alarplasty in your FFS ? I'm concerned about what is called "ethnic rhinoplasty" and could find nearly nothing.

• Did the amount of feminization in your face meet your expectations?

Hmm personally I wouldn't go for cheek implants. The idea of having silicone in your face doesn't sit well with me unless the surgeon goes the fat injection route.

Not to hijack this thread or anything, I'll start my own thread soon. I just wanted to let you know I decided to go with Dr Cardenas based on your awesome results after consulting with 4 different FFS surgeons. BTW your profile photos keep getting more and more amazing Tristan.

I have a confirmed surgery date in late November for the following:

Aesthetic rhinoplasty 2,600 usd
Hairline advancement with brow lift and bone reshaping 3,200 usd
Upper lip lifting 1,200 usd

I considered also getting a full face lift (Dr Cardenas recommended), cheek impants (another 2 drs recommended), and chin/jaw reduction (3 drs recommended), but right now I am prioritizing on what I consider the high priority items. I may go back to him another time, maybe a year or 2 later and also get a breast augmentation, maybe cheek implants and maybe jaw/chin reduction with a full facelift.

I had no intention of cheek implants, but his confidence won me over and I am glad I got them. They are my favorite change to my face. He totally nailed it. It helped changed my overall face and smoothed and reduced a hallowness I had to my eyes.

I just had my ffs with dr Cardenas three weeks ago. So far I am very happy with the results. If you stay at rest and recover they take amazing care of you. My experience was excellent and I haven't had anyone stair at me in the malls since having the surgery. I had chin, jaw, lipo on neck, lip injections, lip lift, brow shave and lift, and hairline advancement. I still want to eventually get my nose done and will go back to dr Cardena's wife. I give my experience 10/10. If you stay at rest and recover make sure u say hi to Vincente, Tyler, Cecelia and Elsie (Vincente's bulldog). I am open to being emailed if you want to ask questions of someone who is not sponsored but has a independent opinion.

By the way tristin you look so beautiful. I can only hope when all my swelling is down that I look as great as u.

may I ask you what kind of cheek implants did he use? Are they silicone or medpor? I am considering my options on that at the moment
