I just wanted to share a little about something I've done today that really just puts me in a good mood. I've been talking to this girl for a bit, shes a couple hour off but weve been discussing dating and unlike my last i told her about I may transition and stuff and she didn't freak out or anything. In fact she was somewhat optimistic about the whole thing and wanting to *dress me up* and etc.. I've been telling her everything now and even if nothing comes of this relationship I'm glad i got it out there. I've had girls I've told, or ex-gfs before that got excited but its just a nice atmosphere when there chiming in about wanting to help and do this and that.
My last gf was barely tolerant, and kept the atmosphere of " if it makes you happy " which was a really a kind of negative attitude. I ask about makeup " whatever makes you happy", where do I buy this kind of underwear? "sigh,." It always felt like I was being a burden and considering how insanely little I know about anything it put me off of asking her. Its just really nice to be able to "vent". It's not like I don't get relief from talking with you guys, it's just an immediate response by someone who doesn't know the pain i go through and has a different perspective is somewhat refreshing.

A friend or lover shouldn't sigh or brush you off when you ask about things that are important to you. That's really cool how she treats you. I have exactly one friend I see much in person, and luckily he's very casual and supportive. He doesn't know how much of a difference that has made for me. It helps to have somebody who is good to you regarding gender. It's such a potential vulnerability.

Sounds like a darn good friend :) Even if the relationship goes no further than 'Just friends', she sounds like a keeper

I agree. We broke up shortly after all this stuff for different reasons and i quit going to therapy for about a year. Though I'm trying to pick it up again now, instead of leaning on my old gf gonna try to find other ways to move forward.
