What pisses me off is that there are people making articles or citing this story and labeling the parents as "child abusers" and other vicious things.  Whether or not the parents need it, we should send in letters of support to the parents if we could.  Children should have the right to be themselves and be proud about it.  We all know how it is growing up without that right, and how much it hurt our lives.  I hope that that child stays confident and with high self esteem.

You are so right. First and foremost, a child is an individual human being.
The abusers are they who deny an individual's right to self determination.

"The big no-no's are hyper-masculine outfits like skull-print shirts."

...yet they encourage hyper-feminine outfits like a pink girl's swimsuit?! Doesn't sound like they're being gender neutral to me, sounds more like they're forcing femininity upon their son.

In all actuality, what does the color, texture and quantity of material have to do with internal gender identification?

Yet, they also banned barbies as well...

Except even the parents don't know if the child feels their gender links up to the sex they were born as.
