Title: How do you see yourself in dreams?

I put this question to MTF's & FTM's if you havn't started transition then how do you see yourself in dreams?
If you have transitioned then do you dream of yourself as your new gender or does the old one pop up from time to time?
When I dream I rarely see myself, I often dream of having long hair & the other night I spent a whole dream just looking at my feminine lips in a mirror, unfortunately when I wake up I get really depressed to find my hair isn't long or I don't have breasts/ full pouty lips & spend the rest of the day miserable.
Sometimes I dream of myself as male wearing female clothes, in these dreams my mother is with me & if anyone approaches then she'll push me away. She's locked me in cupboards, pushed me through windows & has even pushed me into a canal & left me to drown rather than be seen with me. These dreams aren't suprising considering how our relationship has deteriorated since I came out.
So do other people dream of themselves in the gender they desire to be or am I just extra crazy?

I've often dreamt of myself as female but since coming out it's become much more frequent & since coming out & the deterioration of the relationship between me & my mum the dreams about being male wearing female clothes have started :(

I typically always dream of myself as a boy and nothing really seems strange or awkward until I wake up. I figured it would go away, but even after living as female for 3 years I still dream of myself as a he. Although, not who I use to be.. I still have long hair and a woman's face like I do now, I guess just a more evolved version of who I was. It's kinda funny sometimes.

While pre-transition I did have many dreams where I was a natal female. Usually I had my male body.
When I begun transitioning their was a 3 month time delay between changes occuring to my body and my dream body reflecting those changes so their was abit of a delay between me growing boobs and them appearing in my mind... Oddly when I started dreaming that I had them was about the time I stopped accidently smashing them into things/on things
My body in my dreams is largely as I am today. (ie a pre-op transsexual)

I don't perceive the sex of my body in dreams. Occasionally there will be some focus on a certain body part - my hair or my legs or my teeth - but usually I don't even perceive my body at all.

I used to have dreams when I was younger about being female. Then as I suppressed it subconsciously, they went away gradually. I usually am just me in my dreams, no gender, but every now and then she'll pop back up into my higher subconscious to let me know she's still there ;)

I don't usually see myself in my dreams. But gender is rarely an element of any importance whatsoever in my dreams. When I realise I am male in my dreams, I get depressed, but most of the time, I couldn't tell if I tried. I hardly ever control myself in my dreams; it's more like a first-person perspective movie. In daydreaming, I sure am female, though, but that's irrelevant.

Most of the time I don't notice my gender in my dreams, but pre transition, I dreamt sometimes as a boy, occasionally as a girl - when I transitioned, I normally dreamed as a pre-op female - and post op, I had a few dreams about surgery where the vagina was created but part of the penis was left on! In those dreams I was told I would have to go on a waiting list again to remove the rest of it. Pre-op I had a couple of 'boy in female clothes' dreams, but now post op, the dreams are exclusively female, if I notice my gender in it.
Pre-op I also dreamed several times about having the surgery, and curiously enough, I vividly remember the feeling of having a vagina in those dreams, and it is remarkably similar to how it feels now, in reality, post-op. One day in the hospital recovering from SRS, I had a reverse version of this dream, where instead of dreaming of being post op and waking up to find I was still pre op, I had a dream I was pre-op and woke up to my relief that the monstrosity down there was indeed gone!

I've dreamt in many different ways. I've been male. I've been female. I've also been male and attempting to transition.

I haven't transitioned yet but now that I think of it out of all the times I remember dreaming I have never really been a male in my dreams no matter how much I wanted to be one. I am normally my exact self but I'm more fit. Just the other night I had a dream I was training with Manny Pacquiao and I could actually do a pull up and climb from monkey bars with ease and in another dream I could do parkour and I could jump over a car. Well I guess that's better than nothing.

Most of the time, I don't see my sex in dreams. However, I've been having a lot more dreams where I've been in transition. I've had a couple of more sexual type dreams where I was fully female and the dreams were extremely vivid and real. They were realistic enough to the point when I woke up, I felt to see what was in my pants, and then got really depressed. Now that I think about it, I haven't had any sexual dreams as a male in a while now.

I dreamed of myself last night. I will have my SRS very soon and I dreamed about being on the operating table waiting for them to put me asleep. I saw my male genitalia in the dream and I thought next time I wake up my body will look the way it should. It was an amazing feeling. So I saw myself the way I am. It is funny but since I had my FFS and AM I dream of myself with my new face and with my new boobs. I can't even imagine what did I look like before.

Interesting question. I can't think of a time where I noticed myself. My dreams are so bizarre and tend to border on nightmares so often I'm always focused on whats going on around me, they are pretty vivid and from my own POV usually.
It's not odd for me to wake up delirious thinking it was real for a short bit, one time when I was a teen I was freaking out for a good half hour still stuck in it sorta. Almost had to go to the hospital but finally calmed down.
But yeah, never really noticed. Though I expect that might change in the future with transition issues breaking into them and more mental awareness now of my gender issues. Should make for some interesting dreams I expect.

Normally if I see myself in a dream its from the back and I mostly see what I imagine is my female self long hair a bit curvy but less broad...And I normally hear a more feminine voice (and mines pretty feminine as is) and a laugh...Always in a dress though

I rarely dream or either just don't recall them. The few I do recall usually involves something happening that I've worried about, like my car being stolen, vandalized, broken down, my house burning down, someone painting a huge "tra***" on the side of my house, or a large group of angry townspeople coming down the street with torches and pitchforks, stuff like that. I never see myself actually in the dreams though, I'm just there.

Off-topic, but it has been proven that everyone dreams every night (unless they have a grave, rare desease or sleep less than 30(?) minutes, in which case it's possible). When you "don't dream", it's because you forgot it by the time you woke up, either because it's been too long since you've dreamt (episodes of dreams are cut with episodes without, and you could have been a while without dreaming in the morning), or because you're just no good at remembering them. But it's not abnormal to not remember dreams. Most people rarely do.

My dreams are weird. I would be male most of the time, but lately, sometimes I've been female.

Pre HRT I would always see myself as a male. Now I see myself in the in-between phase where people sometimes see me as female, which is a little bit ahead of where I'm at now.
