Title: Unequal breast development... is that how it goes?
Post by: AbraCadabra on February 03, 2012, 12:01:22 AM
Isn't it strange that ALWAYS my right breast seems active...more touchy, more hard, and now also a little more prominent - if a 38 A cup can be called 'prominent' ... in deed.

That's after 1 year and 8 month HRT...

Any experience to relate?

Yes, it seemed that way a bit to me too. But then I lost weight and now they're even again and smaller to boot. :(

Every cis female's breasts grow unequally (and look unequal in the end), so I don't see any reason for us to have symmetric breasts ;D

But I noticed it, too, my boobs have hurt from around the third week of HRT, and still do. Sometimes the left one hurts more than the right, the other times it's the other way around.

My left seems slightly bigger in comparison to the other. It's natural. :)

it's quite normal for one side to develop larger than the other.  Many natal women have even up to a cup size different in their breasts.  It's also quite common the see this in other parts of the body too, i.e one side of many people's bodies has more hair, larger foot/hand etc...  There's a whole bunch of statistics on the wikipedia article here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breast (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Breast)

My left foot is bigger, right boob is bigger go figure :P  They both seem equally tender/sore.

Hm, come to think of it... my right foot is 1/2 size bigger than my left also.

If my right boob be only 1/2 cup bigger then the left in the end - then so be it...

However, it is constantly the right-side boob that is more sensitive and hard.
Also after my by-pass op, the left side was numb for quite some time, the right side was not.

Heart on the left, more growth on the right?

But it's good to know that it's reasonably 'normal'.

Thank you so much ladies... :-)

Are you right handed or left handed?

My left is larger than the right. I put it down to being right handed, and the right side of my body doing slightly more physically, therefore less fat.  Interested to see that seems it is not always the case.

My left breast is also bigger than my right one. I am right handed. I read somewhere that if you are right handed, your right breast will be smaller due to the fact that your right arm gets more exercise, hence less fat. I suppose it will be the opposite if you are left handed.

I'm mostly right handed, i.e. semi-ambidextrous

So in my case THAT does not explain my left being smaller - so it's just the opposite

PS: my son is left-handed, my ex is not...

Yes My left boob is bigger and I am left-handed. My left side is my best side however I do have more wrinkles on my left side (That's because I'm more expressive on that side) and when I half smile/half sneer I always do it on the left.

Oh dearie me, now we talking wrinkles -

None in my boobs have any this far... :-)

BUT - plenty more wrinkles on the right side of my face, - I SLEEP on that side.

It however does not seem to have the effect of slowing down breast development in favour of my left side...

Nature has it's ways... now doesn't it?

My breasts seem to take turns, one will be a bit but not much larger than the other then they'll even out and the other will be a bit larger  :)  But mostly they've grown fairly evenly and both are rather sensitive most of the time

My right breast is doing all the growing since my E dose got upped a few weeks ago, and is consequently the sorer one. But I welcome it growing, because it has quite a way to go to catch up with the left.
