I'm with you. This is something really confusing to me. I have a (gay?) friend who has talked of attraction to "Thai lady-boys" (his words--I've repeatedly given him an earful about using that term which seems really disrespectful and inappropriate). They are obviously feminine so that seems like a heterosexual tendency. Seems to me that, generally speaking, trans women would be attractive to str8 men and gay women and trans men would be attractive to gay men and str8 women, and of course bisexuals and pansexuals could be attracted to either. You don' have to restrict yourself with labels, of course, but IF you use a label, presumably you're describing your own limits about what's attractive to you. I use the label "gay" because I'm almost exclusively attracted to men. If you're attracted to trans women, why call yourself gay? You're at least bi or pan.

A almost had to do a gay marriage when I got hitched back before gender neutral marriages were possible. I hadn't gotten my new social security number yet and my husbands visa was about to expire. I called up the officials and asked what to do. On the one hand I had had srs and was a definitely a woman, but legally I could only get married in a gay marriage. On the other hand it would be annulled as soon as my paper work went through as only same sex couples can enter gay marriages. They were stumped and my hubby ended up having to leave the country and stay in England 6 weeks.

This isn't too surprising, seen it before many times. I inadvertently turned to "Dr. Phil" recently and there was a bi-guy there who had obviously been in the closet for all of the twenty some odd years of his marriage to a CIS woman. He had been having a hot affair with a pre-op trans woman. He later admitted to his attraction to women with the surprise package. These types used to show up occasionally at the transgender group meetings I used to attend and shower all the girls with flowery BS in an effort to have a tryst with one of them. They were just in-the-closet gay men, we called them ->-bleeped-<- ->-bleeped-<-s.

Those aren't gay men, and not necessarily bi men. Gay men aren't attracted to women or anyone who looks like a woman.

The fellow on Dr. Phil admitted to having had sexual affairs with twenty some men prior to falling for the pre-op trans woman, that wouldn't be hetro behavior by any stretch! Then there are the gay men who inhabit some of the cross dress and drag clubs. If the female form with male genitalia isn't attractive to them then why would they be wasting their time? I think there are all sorts and it may be a mistake to paint with a broad brush.

You just did though, you said that all of them were in-the-closet gay men because they had some sort of fetish for pre-op transwomen.

What do I know? My understanding about these things is limited so I'll not get into the nuances and finer points of what constitutes official gayness.

I'm sorry I'm not trying to fight. But I think there's more to sexual attraction then just genitals.

I never got the chance to actually see that... I don't own a TV and I don't think to watch TV on my Laptop... It looked like a beautiful wedding...
I was reading the other posts and felt something in my heart so... I have to say it... I'm not arguing I am.. Just saying what's on my heart...
A woman, yes she was a man at one time... physically anyway... fell in love with a man who is gay... and has aids... thats what the media sees...
What I saw was a woman and a guy who love each other for better or for worse combining 2 communities in their hearts and minds and taking a legal stand in love... I might be wrong... but I thought it was Beautiful...

I find all kinds of people attractive without considering what kind of genitalia they come equipped with, so I'm sure that you are right about that!
