Title: Huffington post
Post by: MyKa on February 09, 2012, 07:19:31 PM
I don't know if anyone has posted anything about Huffington post or not. It's a great place for up to date new headlines and stories. To make a long story short if you visit their website www.huffingtonpost.com (http://www.huffingtonpost.com) and scroll the top news bar you'll find a section called gay voices. They cover all aspects of our community. Theres an app for your smart phones as well. Maybe a stupid post just thought i'd post it because i found their topics interesting!

On the whole, it's great, and I like their content. I also happen to know someone who writes for them, but I only learned that after I'd been taking in their content for a while. I'm also a little partial because I like MSNBC and Arianna was a staple on Olbermann and other shows (and on Bill Maher's HBO show).

The Huffington Post was started by Arrianna Stassinopoulos Huffington.  She is the former wife of Michael Huffington.  Michael Huffington was a moderate Republican who served one term in the House, and then narrowly lost a Senate race against incumbent Dianne Feinstein in 1994.  Many insiders blamed the obnoxious Arrianna for the defeat.

After the Huffington divorced in 1997, Michael came out that he was bisexual.  He has since been a leader in the Log Cabin Republican organization.  He remains active in GLBT and Republican causes.  His personal wealth stems from the Texas oil company started by his father - a friend an associate of GHW Bush.

I kinda like the Daily Beast, even more since HuffPo was sold.  Salon also covers lots, and lots of sexual topics.

Dude everyone knows about HuffingtonPost. I generally avoid them for political news.

The only way to get real political news is to read everything you can from the most biased sites around, then make up your own mind.
