Trout Fishing in America-- I think I was in high school, but I am not sure.
Ozz Fest-- I don't remember the year, but I do remember that it was free.
The Offspring, Sum 41, and some other bands (which did not impress/interest me nearly as much as those two)-- one summer when I was an undergrad.
Rob Zombie and Alice Cooper-- early summer 2010.

Easier to say who I didn't' get to see: The Beatles, Jimi, The Doors w/ Morrison, Janis. Pretty much everyone else I've worked or seen. Including two of the shows in KC at the Memorial. Both of those were Dylan in the early 90s.

One of the most interesting ones I have been to was Rickie Lee Jones at the Pasadena Playhouse in the early 1980s. We were up close and personal. Man, that woman could drink. She polished off a large bottle of Jack Daniels during the performance. Didn't even phase her.

I've only seen Britney Spears in concert. The first time was in 2000 and the second was just last year. Wow, 11 years apart and she's still in the game.

:embarrassed: The Spice Girls when I was 10/11 and Steps (what was i thinking?!) around that time too.
Thankfully it gets MUCH better: Muse (twice), Clapton, the Cream Reunion concert at the Albert hall a few years ago, the Led Zeppelin reunion at the O2 in '07, Bruce Springsteen last year, and I remember seeing this folksy band in a dingy grotty subterranean dive that went onto become Mumford and Sons.
Hopefully my later musical tastes redeem me somewhat! :P

Anyone who has Amanda Palmer and Leo Kottke on the same list as Slayer, and has B.B. King backed with Dweezil - well you've got my vote.

Rosanne is still doing what's she's always done, which tragically is 'too country to really be rock, to rock to be liked by the country crowd.' Last year she played at the HSBG fest in SF doing songs that her dad thought were 'important'. Pretty cool stuff.

I've seen lots of the big big groups of the 70 onwards. Best where Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Jimi, Wishbone Ash, McCartney, THE WHO (total blast), Leo Kottke (love that guy), Ralph McTell (just good, just an honest song smith). Bon Jovi (rubbish all hype) , for many recent years I have concentrated on Classical and experimental dance.
But over the last few months I have rediscovered the Pub circuit. Honest live music, some terrible, some awesome, but a damn good night of dance and music. And most in Adelaide is free provided by the pub so people drink too much. I don't so the drunks pay for me :P

Yes, Motörhead (permanent ear damage from that one), Joni Mitchell, David Bowie, Here And Now, Hawkwind, Suzanne Vega, Van Morrison, Kathryn Tickell, Robert Fripp, John McLaughlin, Billie Cobham, McCoy Tyner, Eberhardt Weber, Dave Brubeck, Andy Shepperd, Jan Garbarek, Gil Scott Heron, Defunkt (the older amazing Chicago funk band), 23 Skidoo, Cabaret Voltaire, Tuxedomoon, Ozric Tentacles, The Enid, ICU... and a huge stack of folk and world music gigs. Looking at this list (which I keep adding to), I did pretty well - catholic tastes :) !
Right now I'm really pissed off, I'm not well enough to go to London today for a Radiohead gig I've been waiting 6 months for :(.

Hon get yourself to the show, worth the memory alone and one of the true great bands of all time, not that they are that well known to the masses.

I just realized, I haven't been to a concert in well over six years, hadn't even turned 15 yet. It was Simple Plan, the previous year I'd been to see Good Charlotte and my first concert experience was only a couple of weeks prior, a festival which I went to mainly to see Simple Plan and Green Day.
Nobody ever really comes to preform round where I live, not real big acts anyway.

Skinny Puppy was my first concert, I was 15 and the gig was 18+, got in because apparently I can look older if I want to. Second concert was Peter Murphy, same thing there, except the doorman thought I was my father's girlfriend, haha. Then I saw Diamanda Galás live, awesome experience, many people left the locale because they couldn't handle her. Then PJ Harvey, completely magical, I couldn't speak until the next day because I was mesmerized by her performance. The latest concert I've been to was a Robert Johnson And Punchdrunks gig, small venue, tiny audience, good band but a too short concert. Soon I'll be seeing Swans live, which will be great fun!

New order was amazing! I ended up going to both of the NYC shows and on a whim I took the 10 hour drive to Toronto for the last show there. I left work at lunchtime, made it to the show with ten minutes to spare, drove back home and made it to work on time. When I got home that day, I slept for 16 hours straight.
I just heard that Depeche Mode is touring next year. I will be going to see them no matter how far I have to drive.

Aesher you saw Skillet? So jealous right now
I have only been to two concerts one i barely count as it was for youth group outing
The one I do count and remember the most(ie vaguely) Was Live at Perth Challenge Stadium here in Western Australia a few years ago when Ed was still the singer, I'd say maybe 2006, 2007 bit vague on that.

First concert: Faster Pussycat, Poison, Winger and Cinderella (I was 12 or so and it was in 2000, I think.)
I've also been to Ozzfest twice, been to CPR Fest once, been to over 50 other concerts at Jaxx in Virginia that featured bands like W.A.S.P. and Pretty Boy Floyd. I have seen Metalica with Godsmack and Trans-Siberian Orchestra. I can't list every band I've seen live because four years ago it totaled over 100 bands. >.>

Wish I was able to travel when Versailles were still a group oh well, even if i do not know the language I can still appreciate the music and almost understand the words in my head.
PS: I really should learn to type slower lol

Pretty much the whole reason I want to go to Japan is to see the various bands that only tour over there or in Europe. I have to see Miyavi and Dir en Grey before I die.

Michelle, I'm so jealous of you... It sucks being a post-punk sort of fellow when you were born too late. However, it makes gigs a more pleasant experience since everyone there is at least 30+ and will thus have mellowed out a bit and acting more mature than younger people.
Having your father accompany you to concerts (we like the same kind of music and he likes spending time with me this way) can lead to some awkward moments, such as when we'd both been checking out the same person.

I definitely grew up in a good time period for music. There was a ton going on all the time. One week of shows that sticks out in my mind is Guns and Roses on a Wednesday or Thursday, The Cramps on Saturday and The Ramones on Sunday. All at the same club that held about 500 people.

Not many, to be honest.
But the ones I've been to were amazing.
MUCC @ Tavastia, Helsinki (Finland) March 20, 2007
MUCC @ Provinssirock '07 (Seinäjoki, Finland)
Poets of the Fall @ Rytmikorjaamo (Seinäjoki, Finland) April 17, 2010
...That's about it. :I
But my long living dream has been to see Metallica live. Actually, I share that dream with my Mom. Maybe one day we'll go to their concert together and go crazy. ;D

I've been to two concerts, both in 2011. However, I'd say I'm satisfied.
The first concert was Streetlight Manifesto. They came to my city and the concert only costed $15! I bought my friend who introduced me to the band a ticket and we went together. They are now my favorite modern band. Because I love wind instruments, that's why. Lol.
Later in the year I got to see Chicago, which is my favorite older band. They are my favorite band altogether, actually. I was a little concerned that they would play mostly their new stuff, which I don't listen to. However, 90% of the show was their classics, and I mean 60s/70s classics with some 80s thrown in. Which meant I loved it because 60s/70s Chicago is my favorite!

I thought I posted this the other day, but I don't see it so,
I will be going to an Andre Rieu and the Johann Strauss orchestra in March (I saw them once before about 5 years ago)
I have been to several Orchestra concerts before, but have never gone to see rock concerts (too loud for me).

It would be shorter to list which major bands/artists I HAVEN'T seen yet.
The bucket list: AC/DC (yes, Bon Scott is still dead last I checked), Against Me! (obvious reasons), Go-Go's (once took a studio recording class with Charlotte), KISS (although I've been in the same room with all original members at one time or another), ZZ Top (drank at same bar with Billy Gibbons once).
Still hoping Led Zeppelin gets back together, but I've seen Plant/Page a few times and even had a backstage pass once.
I've been to 1000+ concerts over the last 30 years. It's what I do best.

lol
But it HAS gotten a lot better in the last five/ten years, thankfully!
There's some good local metal bands getting around in this country these days, even the ones who aren't really my cup of tea usually put on a good show.
As for bigger shows I've seen... Well, the first was Presidents of the United States of America... lol But then as far as I can remember...
Smashing Pumpkins
Soilwork
Deicide
Children of Bodom
Nightwish
Mayhem
Immortal
Celtic Frost
Dark Tranquillity
In Flames
Amon Amarth
Stabbing Westward
Dark Funeral
Fear Factory
There's more, but that was the first cluster that popped into my head.

From 2000 to 2005: AC/DC in 2000, a benefit Death Metal fest for James Murphy in 2002. The headlining band (Deceased) cancelled at the last minute due to personal issues for one band member. Didn't find out about that until I got there. I was a bit bummed out about that. I did get to meet James Murphy and saw one really good band. I sat through 4 or 5 other bands that sucked. I left and missed the last 5 or 6 bands. Went to another (smaller) Death Metal fest at the same venue around a year later. Only one band out of the six sucked so it was much better. I saw Type O Negative a few months later in Ohio. Missed the opening band (Lacuna Coil) but we didn't care. Type O was really good. Saw Obituary and Napalm Death in 2005. It was absolutely amazing. The two opening bands were pretty good too.
I haven't been to any shows in proper venues since that time. I did organize a local fest of Noise/Experimental bands from various areas of the Midwest. I also played in it as well with my Noise project. I plan on doing another fest later this year. If we could draw more than 10 people (other than the bands), that would be nice.

Type O! Loved them live. Why did that bastard have to die so young? OK, it was probably because he sniffed up half of Peru, but still... The good news is that Peter left me with two basses that he won't be needing anymore.
Anyway, concert bucket list update- I have tickets for the ZZ Top/Jeff Beck, Elton John, King Diamond and KISS shows. I've seen Elton John before, but this time I'm up front. I hear AC/DC is coming soon, and I might just have to go to Vegas for that one.

.I only went on Saturday and really enjoyed it.On Friday Glitter Trash from Detroit played, their frontwoman is TS and I was told I missed a great band.I've been going for 5 years and have never had any problems with the punks and skinheads at the event. There's usually 2 other TS girls on the stalls.

As you can see, much of my concert going was in the 90's. I know I have seen more but I can't remember them.

I don't have my list of concerts on my computer, but I do have a list of musicians I've seen live though. If I counted right, there's more than 100 artists/bands :D I love concerts! A lot of them are Danish, so a lot of you probably have no idea who they are, lol.

Too many to mention or even remember. So I'll go with my favorite and who I haven't seen but really want to.
My favorite live band was Oasis. I've seen them twice and they were incredible both times. (honorable mentions: Radiohead, and Green Day before they were big)
I've tried several times to see Sigur Ros, but just haven't been able to make it happen. I either found out about it too late, or was out of town. And it's been like 4 or 5 near misses now...I have got to see them! (honorable mention: Muse)
