A friend of mine sewed her own dress.

Ok, I know that the photo is a bit blurry. I hope to get a better photo.

I tend to buy from people online due to my size. Usually much more unique clothes though - that's the one benefit of being a big girl! ;)

My daughter did something like that once. I didn't believe she could do it, because she didn't have a pattern, and she was eleven, and she can't do buttons or fasten clasps or manipulate many other small objects. I left her alone, though. She had a shirt and a skirt and some material, and she spent about 4 hours totally silent, refusing to talk or pee or eat, and she finished up with a pretty amazing gauzy ballerina princess thing.

Making your own stuff is always cool.

Keep this up and I'll feel motivated to have a go myself. :laugh:  Looks pretty good from what I can see.  My daughter makes all her own, and they look great.
