Title: Greetings and Salutations
Post by: elklark on February 28, 2012, 09:27:27 PM
Well, my username is elklark, which is an imperfect anagram that works with my name (both legal and chosen). I'm 19, a college student, and a FTM who is still ambivalent about that, and what to do. I'm starting to come to grips with it (even though it is at odd with my mom, because she sees me as her daughter, and will often be condescending when this is mentioned. I learned that a couple years ago.)

I've lurked about here without an account multiple times, but I decided to make an account after finding myself lurking again this weekend. I considered that even though I've been going to a transgender support group on my university's campus, I noticed that my class schedule for next semester is going to conflict, and figured that I will still need a place to sort through my thoughts and feelings at that point in time, especially considering that I've just started to come out to friends and the like.

Speaking of transistioning, that option is off of the table for now, due to paying for college and expenses related to it, though I'm not sure what my opinion on HRT and the like would be once/if I have funds in the future.

Hi Elklark,

A big Aussie welcome to Susan's family. Pleased to have you around, and thank you for sharing a part of your life with us. As we are an international family, usually someone is up to answer any questions you have, even after a mommoth event of submitting Uni papers at the last minute.

As you know doubt have found lots of information and resources in which to broaden your knowledge base. But most importantly its the friendships and relationships you develope that garners your journey.

Hope to hear more of you in the coming months, in the meantime, be safe, well and happy.

Lotsa huggs
Catherine
