Was curious if anyone could recommend any therapists in the NC, Apex/Raleigh/Cary area?
I've been thinking about this for a long time, since i was a kid, and withthe help of friends i have a general idea of what i feel.

Two good ones are Molly Parks in Durham and Kimball Sargent in Raleigh, I don't know of any others that deal with gender.

I was looking at Kimberly just the other day. I might give her a call sometime... Hmm.

I'm also aware of Samuel Allen in Durham, and Lori Oshrain in Efland. I expect to use Oshrain for my second surgery letter.
I am/was* a patient of Kimball. The only complain I have about her is that she will not refer clients to anyone but Dr. Holt for HRT. I learned this because I was having problems with Dr. Holt (she was basically unwilling to prescribe to me but did not articulate any medical/health reason for doing so) and asked Kimball for a referral to another doctor, which she refused to do. If you are like many I know who never had difficulty with Dr. Holt this won't be an issue.
* Technically still am, but I've only seen her twice since the start of 2011 as I'm at the point that there's little to cover in the therapy sessions. She ended the last one by telling me, "it seems that things are going very well for you. Call me when you need a surgery letter."

Kimball sounds scary due to Dr. Seeming to be a gate keeper to you . What if the same thing happens to me or someone else . Now if I could figure out how to get my ins to cover it or atleast help the visits. I think I dealt with Dr. Allen once but I was getting alot of late night calls from his number and I felt if they couldn't call before 9 it wasn't professional enough for me . Anyone else exp that ?

I am a patient of Kimble's and she recommended me to another doctor, not Dr. Holt. She does refer almost everyone to Holt though and I am glad I went to a different doctor. I needed a GP as well as someone to prescribe hormones so I am one of the few that she didn't send to Holt...

I'm also in NC, though closer to Winston Salem. I'm going to see Andy Moretz next week on the recommendation of a friend. Has anyone heard of him/had any experience?
