Title: Post Op Medical Supplies
Post by: Icephoenyx on March 04, 2012, 03:18:01 PM
Has anyone turned to the web to order their post op supplies, such as lube, gauze, blue mats to sleep on, antibacterial soap, etc? I find myself going to the drugstore every 2 to 3 days and it's annoying and expensive. Are there any sites you can recommend where you can somewhat buy 'bulk'? They would need to ship to Canada.

Or is there another method that works better?

Thank you!

Yep.  I used BP Medical.  They're fast and they don't rip you off.  I think they are based out of Brooklyn NY.  There was a place in Ontario I was getting my bed pads from, but I can't recall who they were.

www.drugsupplystore.com/ (http://www.drugsupplystore.com/)

^^ What I used. Only issue is you should tell them to ship USPS, and that you'll pay the extra shipping cost. 'Cause if UPS gets stopped at the border they charge you $25 to go through customs. It also takes a little while to arrive since it's US-based.

Another option for smaller orders or orders you need really soon is Well.ca. They ship for free and it usually arrives within the week, but they cost a bit more.

The blue mats are called "underpads" so you can find them.

And, hey Chrissi. :P

I'm happy with http://www.imed.com/ (http://www.imed.com/) although they ship via UPS so it might get stopped at customs for a delivery bribe...
err... importation fee.
