I've been on hormones for over 15 months and spontaneous erections seemed to stop like a year ago, but now I suddenly had one this morning... I've been taking my pills, but is it possible that my T level somehow spiked without any reason? I am feeling a little warm... :/

Hello, it is possible that the T-level increases for some reasons. Is there any signs of increasing T-level? is erection good for transgender girl as it means that the penny is still functioning?

I've been on HRT and anti - androgens for 14 years and I still get unwanted erections in the morning! and it's noting to do with hormone levels as my T levels are about 0.8!

I'm guessing that while a low t level will make you impotent, the stuff can still be produced, even if its only as a lubricant.
And if you haven't pleased yourself for long periods of time, that stuff in there builds up and can cause such a thing to happen.
stiffys can also happen with a full bladder.
We need members with a medical background on these types of discussions.

Got a true story here from Master Bates... ;D
A prominent SRS surgeon once told me that it's important to keep it working there until your SRS date because it's imperative that the "little head" remain as sensate as possible because it will eventually be what's used to fashion the female clitoris. The genetic female clitoris is generally tenfold more sensate than the head of the genetic male penis. Since the SRS surgeon has to try and reconnect the nerve endings requiring micro-surgery, one would want to be sure that those nerves are still working pathways. Those MtF types who gasp and have a near prolapse over having a male hard-on and refuse to pleasure themselves because it's not a girly act, are only short changing themselves in the long run.

there are ways to please ones self in a purely feminine way...as discussed in the other thread on erections a couple days ago... Stimulation of the breasts and other areas is an option, and something that can add to the moment as well in foreplay. Point is that we don't HAVE to have erections or even pump play with it to Get Off, but that wasn't the subject of this thread.

I've never gotten any pleasure from down there... I don't even know what to do with it! Nipple play I understand, but I've never been able to force myself into anything down there. I used to try it a long time ago when I thought I was just a boy because that's what you're "supposed" to do, but it never interested me a bit...

The point I'm making is that erections do happen and if you totally ignore it and it just totally dies away, which it will in time after extended hormone use anyway, then so goes the sensitivity to that part which will be used by your surgeon some day. whether you do or you don't do anything about it has nothing at all to do with whether or not you are more or less female in mind, body or spirit, it's a totally personal choice about the purely mechanical workings of the human body.

Obviously, but I would like to be able to orgasm after surgery... I'm assuming that means I'll have to keep up with it in some manner?

As Bates said above, it can't hurt. I still get the lesser ones at times, except for the bloody stretcher this past July after 2 weeks off of the spiro. I don't have the acrimony towards the gonads, or what's left of them, than I did a year ago! Let it happen, the GRS surgeon needs as much material as you can get to work with.

In my case it might be more to do with a full bladder or high blood pressure. I certainly don't get any build up of anything, not after 14 years! In Emily's case she hasn't been on HRT long enough so in her case it could be what you mention.
