my question is, which is better? i'm not able to spend alot of money on transitioning yet... so the mr limpy catches my eye at a mere $12 online. :) that's awesome. but the gv sailor pack, is $24, and even tho its kinda sad, it's too expensive for me. lol. but i want to know, would it be worth it to start just saving for it? or is a mr limpy good enough? i'm going to make my own stp out of it...  so just wondering what you guys think... :)

Depends on what you're looking for.  Since you want to make your own stp, the Mr Limpy would be better.  It's possible to modify the GV sailor soft, but it's difficult.  Kind of defeats the purpose of getting the GV--taking out the firmer core which gives a more realistic feel.  I'd go with the Mr Limpy based on price and ease of modification.

contrary to popular belief ive found the gv soft pack is really easy to modify, easier then the mr. limpy. if you are going for the limpy some websites still sell tan colored ones because pink ones look dumb. you should check out tool shed toys.

It may be easier than people think, but why spend $24 on something you have to take apart?  Modifying the GV packer for an stp takes away what makes it more expensive--the inner core.  I suppose if you really wanted the slightly larger size (4 inch versus 3.5 on the smallest Limpy) and the particular shape of the balls on the GV packer, then that would be a good choice.  Otherwise the Mr Limpy would suit his needs for price and ability to modify for an stp.

Since you're tight on cash, and wanting to convert it i'd go with the mr.limpy just in case yo ruin it, not a lot of money was wasted.

I got the Mr.Limpy in October and it still works really well. It is really good quality. I haven't modified it but i think the material makes it easy to do so.
I purchased the GV Sailor and wore it three times before the part between the shaft and balls started to wear out and fall apart. I wasn't doing anything vigorous! Just walking around. It does look and feel better than the Mr.Limpy but the quality is no where near as good. 

I would say get the Mr. Limpy.  The GV Sailor Soft pack scares me some and from youtube reviews the balls can get flakey and it looks like they will fall off from the shaft.  I would imagine the Mr. Limpy is more squishy so you can turn it into an STP.

Also the x-small Mr. Limpy sticks out more so it may look like you have a boner.  I'm a very large guy at 250 pounds and it looks like a boner on me.

and I got the pink Mr. Limpy and it's kind of cute.  I wish it were pinker though.

I have a question, and hopefully someone can help me out. Does Mr. Limpy bleed oil? Reason why I ask is that I purchased a similar toy, and after wearing it for a long time, let's say for a day, it stains underwear. By checking out on internet, if it's made of TPR or so called elastomer, it bleeds oil, the amount of oil bleeds out is very small and you can't see it but after 5 or 6 hours, you can see it stains whatever it touches. If it's made of silicone, it does not bleed anything. I'm sure Mr. Limpy is made of some type of TPR, and I'm sure it bleeds oil over time, but I want to make sure that this info is correct.

In my experience with the Mr. Limpy it does not bleed oil. 

If you're making it an STP,
I'd go with the Limpy.

But if you ever just want one for packing,
Go with the Sailor.

I have both, I haven't modified either,
But I definitely prefer the Sailor, but like it's been said,
There's no point in getting it if you're going to take out the inner core to make an STP.

Also, both of my packers bleed oil. I had them sitting in a cardboard box after first buying them,
When I picked them up after a few minutes, there were oily spots left behind.

Thanks everyone for all the info. Well, since Mr. Limpy isn't that expensive, I did purchase it, and as GentlemanRPD said, Mr. Limpy does bleed oil. I kinda knew it. The only way to see it bleed is to leave it on a paper for a while. You will see a stain on a paper when you pick it up. And that means it will stain an underwear if I wear it for all day long. Guess I have to use baby powder or cornstarch, and I don't think it's a big deal.

The other pack I bought is Masho. So far, I like Masho better because of the way it hangs down.

That's interesting about the Mr Limpy "bleeding oil".  This has never occurred with mine.  I've had two so far, wear mine for several hours at a time, and never had that problem.  No oil spots on underwear, none on the container I put it in.

I do use cornstarch though.  Which should be standard practice for any non-silicone packer.

I read somewhere that you shouldn't use baby or talcum powder, only use cornstarch on a packer. I don't know if the baby / talcum powder breaks down the material or what, but it will also say that on a pamphlet that comes with your packer to stay away from those two, besides, cornstarch is cheap and you don't need much - just get a nice big soft bristled paintbrush that you can dust it with.

Cornstarch does wonders.  I don't have a brush so I just put mine in a zip locked back filled with cornstarch for a few days.  Otherwise it starts to stick everywhere.

A zip lock bag for a few days? I'd say that's not really necessary.. ;)

After washing it and letting it air dry I just roll it in a bit of starch or rub it on with my hands and that works well enough 'till the next wash.

Have to say mine has never bleed anything. And I've worn it not only throughout days but nights as well.

To be honest it really wasn't necessary.  I just got lazy and didn't feel like dealing with it lol

Supposedly there is a possible link between cervical cancer and talc.  There isn't a ton of evidence to back it up though.  Personally I'd stay away from it just to be safe.  I certainly wouldn't recommend it over cornstarch which is cheap and gets the job done safely.

This feed is really old but with my experience the mr. Limpy does actually in fact "bleed oil" I left it on my bed for a day and when I picked it up there was a stain on my sheets like you would find on a bag containing greasy food. Also when I pick it up I can feel the oil on my hands though only if I rub my fingers together, the fact that I had mine "painted"(make-up) may have something to do with this but I'm not sure
