A reader writes: "How do you ask someone out? As a trans person, is there any special advice you would give another trans person who is in love with someone (in this case, a close friend) and wants to try to confess his/her/hir feelings?
"Is there anything that is different for a transperson, compared to a cisperson, apart from the issue of disclosing your trans status, of course (if you feel like you should)?"
Good questions – and, in fact, there are three separate questions here, and they could represent one situation or three different situations. So I will answer each one individually, readers can chime in, and the writer and others can put together whatever combination suits their individual scenario.
