Title: Why do I care?

Why do I care that I am male? Why do I want to be female so badly? I honestly do not know.
Why is it so hard for me to accept the idea that I can just be a girly man? I had these thoughts after discussing something with a friend. He said that if he were turned into a woman, he wouldn't care. It wouldn't be that big a deal to him. Why am I not so gender blind? Why is it a big deal to me?
*sigh*
I... really, really like it when people call me "she", "her", etc. Even if I'm not physically female. I also desire to be physically female. I don't know why I care though. It seems so irrational.

It's not that you want to be female for the sake of being female, it's that you want to be female because you wish for your female gender identity to be matched by a female physical appearance and in doing so be recognized as female by the people around you.
There is a difference.
There is a difference.

Yeah... I think you're right. That's how I feel. It was hard to put it into words though, or make sense of it. Thank you.
