Title: should I tell my new housemates

I'm about to move into a new sharehouse on monday and will be living with 4 other people. 2 of these people already know (one of them is my girlfriend) but the other 2 do not. I've still got a little bit of electrolysis to go and my voice is still a little shaky. I pass well enough to have guys wolf whistle and hit on me, as well as being gendered as female even when in guy mode. However, living in the same house as someone is a completely different story. The two people who don't know wouldn't care if they found out, so it's more a question of whether I should force myself out of the "in-between" mode I seem to be living in at the moment.

If they ask then tell them. If they do not ask, say nothing.

generally I go with the whole non-classified secret thing if asked I answer. but I don't see why I should volunteer that information unless asked.

That will be how I will handle it too, same for what Pebbles said.

I agree with the posters who suggest you not say anything unless they ask.
I have 2 housemates; one I knew a little prior to his moving in & is cool; doesn't care.
The other MAY suspect something (or I could quite possibly just be paranoid lol) but it hasn't come up and he doesn't treat me weird so I just havent' said anything about it!
Good luck!

I don't think you should, unless you feel the need to, or a situation actually leads you to either tell them or lie. They're not necessarily close life partners, so I think telling them unnecessarily would but bring unneeded awkwardness, maybe.
Well, if they look like they're gonna be very supportive, you could always tell them, I guess since it's always nice to feel less alone in a situation, though. But in the end, it all comes to how you feel about it.
