Hi. I'm Edge and I'm shy, but I talk a lot. I'm not really sure what's going on with me. I don't know if I'm genderfluid, androgyne, or just some stupid chick going through a phase. I don't know if I really feel what I feel or if I'm fooling myself. I didn't know there was anything off about my gender from a young age (although that might be because it was overshadowed by the rest of the weirdness). In fact, a few years ago I would have confidently said that I was definitely female (although that's mostly because I illogically associated female with aggression and power). I don't just change from day to day. At it's quickest, it seems my gender can change from minute to minute totally involuntarily. Even I can't keep up with it. I hate feeling my birth gender because I'm afraid all this is a phase and I don't want it to be. I also hate the times when I don't feel like any gender because, to me, I feel empty. I really like feeling male or androgynous. Maybe I just want to be a guy because I really like them. I don't know. I'm so confused about all of this. I've got a list of questions a mile long and I don't know where to find the answers. Anyone care to share some advice? Please?

*waves back* Hello Edge and welcome to Susans! Nice name. :)
It's perfectly normal to feel the way you are feeling. Most if not all of us go through it at one point or another. Perhaps looking at some of the other posts here from people can help validate who you really are.
You have a long list of questions over a mile long? Post them here and somebody would be more than willing to help. After all that is what family is for. Take a gander around and maybe some of those questions will have already been asked. :) Again welcome to the site and I hope to see you around Edge!

Hi welcome Edge. :)
I don't know what specific advice to give you, but if you poke around the site you can learn a lot, and if you have questions or even just want to vent, feel free to post. We're happy to have you.

Hi and Welcome.
Don't worry about being fluid, it's just "one of those things", better to enjoy the ever changing view. Lots of us have had at least a phase of this, and some stay there. It's all good.
Karen.

Hi Edge,
A warm Aussie welcome to you! The way you describe yourself kinda reminds me of a line from the original Zork game.. 'You are in a maze of twisty passages. None of them alike.' I started my journey thinking that female was my end goal and I recently had to do some thinking about whether that was right.. I came to the conclusion that I was on the right path all along, but did have to give some serious thought to being somewhat more genderfluid than I had previously thought.. It's just as valid an identity as male or female..
Hugs,
Kelly

Hi Edge,
Yes, the endless wave of more warm Aussie welcomes to Susan's family. You sound pretty normal to me. There is plenty of information and resources here for you to tap into, if you want to shape things up a bit. Otherwise, enjoy the company. We are all pretty sane here.
Look forward to hearing more of you in time to come. In the meantime, be safe, well and happy.
Lotsa huggs
Catherine
