Title: Southwestern Ontario Endocrinologist
Post by: rachl on April 06, 2012, 03:09:38 PM
Hi everyone. Does anyone know of an endocrinologist in southwestern Ontario that has experience treating trans patients? (And one that isn't affiliated with CAMH or a place that can only treat a specific geographic region like Sherbourne.) My doctor is having a hard time finding one (in Kitchener-Waterloo area). I'm willing to drive a couple of hours if I have to, though.

Thanks!

An endo, because these doctors aren't taking patients. But maybe I'll call them again on Monday and explain my situation.

Dr. Lee-Poy was the first person I called, months ago, and they have a TWO YEAR waiting list :(

A quick search on "Manta" came up with:

Nadira Husein, MD, in Waterloo, Ontario
Ann Maria Sirek, MD, in Kitchener, Ontario

You can read about their backgrounds on Manta.com.

Your metro area has nearly 500,000 people.  I would imagine that you shou;d eventually be able to locate several.
How far are you from Toronto?
