Title: Do you ever feel obsessed?

Over the past few days, being trans has taken over my mind. It's pretty much all I think about lately.
Do you ever get this?
I want to take steps, but I don't know where to begin. But hey, that's half the journey. ;)
Love,

I was until I dealt with transition, now I really don't think about it.

I guess once you transition, it's just the way it should be.

Yes. But I'm at a point where I'm just starting transition. I feel awful because sometimes it's all I want to talk about. So much change that I find interesting, but everyone else may be like "eh whatever" or a little squeamish.

I don't blame you, it's such a big and exciting thing in your life. :)
I haven't even gotten to the point of coming out, as long as it has been! But that doesn't phase me.
I'm just doing my thing.

I think we all do at some point or another.
Even a friend of mine, who transitioned a few years ago, still has some episodes.

When I was twelve, I started to be obsessed. I theorized that this obsession would continue, growing stronger over time - frequency of thoughts would rise first, and then so would magnitude. Therefore, I concluded, it would be impossible for me to escape the reality that I needed to transition, because eventually I would become so obsessed that I would literally be forced to do it.
A positive-feedback reaction.
I still feel obsessed, and I probably will until my SRS... perhaps beyond that, as my physical transformation won't be complete for a while afterwards. I may be underestimating what SRS does for the mind, however, when I make that speculation.

So true.
I am trying to embrace it, to help me put one foot in front of the other and take some action.
I suppose it can go both ways, but it is just a matter of control.
I think once I go back to work, I'll even out a bit.
Till then!

I was quite obsessed about it until about 3 months on hormones and realised that its gonna take a while to notice things and they aren't some magical pill that will transform me into a woman like a flick of a switch! I've got to be patient, which isn't one of my known qualities unfortunately

Oh if only it were like flicking a switch. Imagine the possibilities. :D
However, that's not the case. Glad to hear things are going well for you!
Always improving. Soon, you'll be patient enough to put up with anything!
Love,
