Title: Breast development pre-HRT and effects of later HRT?

Hi everyone,
I'm new here and I'm MTF, pre-anything really. I have a question regarding breast development in puberty, and general development during HRT.
When I went through puberty originally as a boy, I started to develop small breasts. I got a hard lump behind each nipple, and I lactated a little with some fluid coming out when I squeezed the nipple. They got very sensitive to the point where just my shirt material brushing past them made them a little bit sore.
Eventually this stopped, my breasts didn't develop into much and I've never experienced it since. I'm now 37, but I wondered if anyone else has experienced this, and how it affects the results of any subsequent HRT (if at all). Has anyone responded well to HRT having experienced this before, or does it make little difference to how well your body responds?
Nathalie

Yes, I have "persistent pubertal gynecomastia." I developed it as a young teen. Had glandular tissue just beneath the nipples. At times I even experienced galactorrhea.
If you start even low dose estradiol, you may "jump start" the process, as you naturally have a head start.
In my case, I had A-cup moobs for nearly 40 years, then they exploded so quickly (in just under six months) with estradiol and T-blockers, it scared me. I easily fill a B-cup sized sports bra I have to wear exercising (due to the jouncing). My right breast is even a little bit bigger. The glandular tissue has expanded from the size of a half pecan under each nipple, to the size of a half golf ball.
If I go to a higher, normal dose, I think I could become very chesty.
There are several YouTube posters who talk about similar experiences. One, I recall, is named "Evolving Emily."
BTW, welcome to Susan's Place. Consider posting an introduction.

I started late in life and got some breast development after my orci but still needed implants. I think starting early is best but better late than never.

The breasts in the family aren't huge, but not tiny either :) I guess there's only one way to find out.
