Title: Finally started talks with my mother
Post by: Diane Elizabeth on April 24, 2012, 10:36:47 PM
Today I finally made some progress talking to my mother.  We were interupted by a friend showing up at our table in the donut shop, but we will continue on Wednesday.  I've been telling her a lot of stuff that she didn't know happened and I am getting some insight from her view point.  She didn't like any of the women I had married but didn't interfere with my decisions.  Anyway, it was a rough ride on the rollercoaster so far.  We talked about my speech problem and being an outcast everywhere I went.  And my joining the military and so forth.  Hopefully, the rest will come ouot tomorrow.  I do have a letter to give her to read.

Hope you can get to talk to her without interruptions next time.  It sounds promising so far.

Karen.

We finally got to talk.  I still couldn't tell her (nerves).  So went to my back up plan.  "The Letter".  I left it with her.  Later she called and said "we have to talk".  So I met with her after work and she just asked a few Q's and was concerned about my relationship with the SO and my will.  We talked about telling the rest of the family and their response.  She thought they would be okay with it.  We'll see in the coming months.
