Title: Renate and Emelye Had a SAVE Today in Chat

Earlier today, a visitor came into Chat and said "I'm about to kill everyone at school....... They keep making fun of me..."
Emelye traced the IP address to the town the user originated from, looked up the Police Department, emailed a warning about the threat, and gave them the IP address info. She then called her local 911 number, whose dispatcher connected her to the 911 organization in that area, who then patched her through to the police.
Renate and Emelye communicated with the police several times to verify the credibility of Susan's Place and to fully explain the interaction with the user
The police emailed Emelye later to say that they had found the individual, apparently a young FTM. They are treating the incident as a cry for help, not a criminal action.
Renate and Emelye's prompt action may have prevented a horrible tragedy and, hopefully, will lead to appropriate help for a troubled young man.
Susan has praised Renate and Emelye for their prompt action. I echo that praise and thank them for their efforts.

Well done.
But that points out that we have here chatters and posters here who may be as young as 11 years old (middle school = 6th-8th grades; ages 11 to 14).

Brilliant! Excellent that you recognized the gravity & seized the moment to get to authorities, changed destiny & saved some lives. Your caring nature hopefully gets this person the help they need. You can be proud of your efforts as are we.

Last thing we need is another school drama, they very well may have saved some lives and I hope the person that posted the threat is able to get some good help (therapy)

If this kid is being bullied, I hope the local authorities don't get so focused on the trans kid that they forget to investigate the bullies.
