i've been lurking around the edges here for awhile now and i thought it was time i said hi and introduced myself to everyone. it is starting to help me out alot being able to realize that the issues i am just beginning to face others have faced and that they are working to overcome them. it makes me realize that maybe i am not as isolated as i have always thought i was. (can we say scared ****less i have forced myself to continue this rather then deleting it.)i am in my late 40's and have learned to hide from life and to deny what was always there inside of me to well. so i am hoping to start looking life right in the face and letting this journey take me where ever it will.
more later i need to let my hands stop shaking

Hi Staceyanne,
I'm fairly new here too. Also late 40s (extremely late 40s) and just now admitting to my closest friends the struggles that I'm going through. Yes this is a good place to be with lots of people in different parts of their journey. We can all learn from each other.
Welcome,
Debbie

Welcome, Staceyanne, to Susan's!
The shaking starts to quiet down the more ya do this, hon'. I'm pleased to make your acquaintance and I hope we'll get to know you a little better real soon. Most of us have been (or still are!) the same place you are right now so don't sweat it. This too will pass.
hugs & smiles

Hi Stacyanne,
Welcome to a truely great place. We're pretty much all the same here. I finally stopped the denial last year, and while there are some major bumps in the road. I've found that my journey to be very fullfilling. It can be scary and the best time of your life. BTW, I use to look a fair bit like steven king, I ljust ove hormones and well a good hair stylist / colorist too.
Enjoy and welcome

Shaking...that sounds like my first visit to group, actually meeting others like me face to face. I find Susan's a very comfortable place to explore the issues that I face daily. The women and men here have faced and hurdled these issues and are very open to sharing thier experiences from the many posts I've read.
Stacyanne, welcome to Susan's. Coming out of the shadows into the light is warming and encourages growth. As my therapist says of people coming out, you too will blossom.

Hi StaceyAnne,
It is so good to meet you. One thing you will find here at Susan's is lots of friends.
We accepted you as you are. I started this new journey about a year and a half ago. My words to myself was the hell with what other think I am going to be me. Yes it has been scary, depressing, a joy, and a adventure. I have learned much about myself and am now at peace with who I am inside.
Welcome to Susan's StaceyAnne.
Hope to see more of your postings.
:)
