Title: Mr. Right vs GV Sailor?

Anybody gotten both to compare them, and if so, what do you think?
I have a Sailor but within only a few days in a harness, it began to tear. I've been looking at saving up for a Mr. Right but it's more than double the price, so I'm interested in opinions on it. My biggest concern is it will be too hard or large compared to the Sailor? I like the firmness the Sailor has and I love the detailing I see in reviews of the Mr. Right but I want something that's comfortable to pack and will last quite a while in a harness if needed.
The Sailor's so great for me that it's a shame it doesn't hold up, argh. I was using a harness that comes packaged with it from TranzWear, if any guys have advice on other harnesses (not underwear but actual harnesses) that are less likely to tear and wreck the packer, that'd be great too, as I might just cave and buy another Sailor if I'm too uncertain about Mr. Right.

It's not really underwear and it's not really a harness but some guys wear their packers in jockstraps of some sort. I suppose a lot of jockstraps have extra pouches for inserting a protection cup (or whatever it's called) so it might be possible to do something with that for packing.
Anyway, no experience with those packers.

I've been thinking about getting a jock strap to try for the heck of it, considering they're a very affordable alternative to specific harnesses. Thanks for the tip!

I've found using a pair of bike shorts or underwear that's tight fitting works best with the sailor packer I have. I've heard that jock straps are good for that, too.

the mr. right is much firmer and much heavier than the sailor soft pack. also looks less realistic imo and the balls are huge but flat, so it's kinda hard to "accomodate" the packer, since it's also not flexible. That said, it won't tear, but then again, neither does my sailor soft pack (i don't use a harness, i just buy boxer briefs that have a double layer in the front/middle, cut two holes in the inner layer and thread the shaft of the packer through there. that way i don't need a harness nor wear two pairs of underwear).

Had both and GREATLY prefer the Sailor. As stated previously, Mr. Right is way too firm and overall un-real looking - the coloration is weird and everything, and it's so stiff I've thought about using mine for pack and play more than once. It's fairly uncomfortable close to the skin and personally, mine tore after maybe a month of use. My Sailor, on the other hand, is nice and squishy, hilarious to swing around at high speeds, comfortable, natural, and a lot more durable. Sheds a little bit, but that I can live with. I use the Haka harness from Early to Bed, sans back plate, and usually wrap some bondage tape around the ring for a little extra padding. Works fine for me.
