Last month, an illustrator from Tokyo, Japan, known by the nickname "HC", held a special dinner during which he seasoned and braised his own amputated genitalia and served the dish to six handpicked diners. The lucky patrons who got a taste of Sugiyama's junk paid about $250 for the meal.

The amputated genitals were medical waste, returned to Mao Sugiyama upon request after his sexual reassignment surgery. Sugiyama is an M-F transsexual.

"I am offering my male genitals (full penis, testes, scrotum) as a meal for 100,000 yen," Sugiyama tweeted. "I will prepare and cook as the buyer requests, at his chosen location. Please retweet."

I think I read another story here Zythyra a while back  where a post-op kept her testicals as a souvenir and uses them as a ''paper weight'' on her office desk, why anybody would want to do that Iv no idea, Id never want a reminder, they are gone and thats it.

I'm really not sure what to say to this.

I was given mine back (the testes) after my orchy back in the 90's and well one i let dry out while the other was in preservative fluid. I then had a cerimonial burning just last yr here at my new home / farm. They are finally gone now except the ashes are outside with my compost. You might think that weird but they did stay at a friends house for like 12 yrs in a upstairs closet and she knew it but didn't mind.

That person is just plain crazy, and so are the people who paid to eat them. Soooo gross.

I don't know, we could all use more money to finance our transitions. :-\ Also I'm not sure why someone would eat them but some people literally do have a fetish surrounding castration. If you already have a fetish about that acting on it by eating them isn't that much weirder.

It's been three and a half months now since 23 year old Mao Sugiyama cooked and served his own genitals to diners in Tokyo, but the "chef" is finally facing criminal charges. Tokyo's Metropolitan Police Department has said that Sugiyama and three others who organized the event are looking at allegations of indecent exposure from public prosecutors. After undergoing voluntary surgery in order to fulfill his desire of becoming asexual, the young illustrator then offered to cook and serve his severed organs to five of the "luckiest" high-paying bidders.

Sugiyama has openly admitted to the event that was attended by more than 70 guests, and while it was never mentioned before now, he says that it was part of an effort to raise awareness about asexual people and others of sexual minorities. Interestingly police say there are no laws against cannibalism, so they have no issue with the "meal." Instead, police spokespeople say, the organizers are being charged with openly displaying the severed genitals to those who knew what they were attending on May 13th. Sugiyama made it abundantly clear that he would cook his penis, scrotum, and testicles to five diners for roughly $250 each.

A man who had surgery to remove his genitals, and then served them at a dinner, is being charged with indecent exposure by Tokyo Metropolitian Police.

Twenty-three-year-old illustrator Mao Sugiyama had surgery to remove his penis and testicles to fulfil his asexual identity.

Sugiyama said the dinner where he served his cooked organs to five diners for around $250 each was a stunt to raise awareness about asexual people and other sexual minorities, Japan Daily Press reports.

The dinner was in May but police have only just charged Sugiyama and three others with indecent exposure, because there are no laws against cannibalism in Japan.

I don't get the indecent exposure charge because the participants went while being fully informed and no surprises were had.

This 23 year old asexual illustrator who "pulled it off" obviously had a "thing" for turning up the heat with authorities. Gives a new definition for an order of "Cream of sum yung gi". Maybe the lesson here is that in Japan you an say you "pricked" your finger, you can think of your boss as a "prick", but you should never say you fingered your prick. On the other hand, if you go to Japan and intend on serving up some prick, maybe it's best left as a "private matter"!!

While I agree that this is sick I find I have to ask myself  what part of this story is more disgusting, sick, and creepy, the woman who sold and cooked up her discarded body parts, or the six people who paid to eat them?

Personally for me it's the latter. If there was no demand then this would never have happened.

I don't think all of society holds the whole group of us responsible for every little thing one of us does. Even the majority knows that something like this is extreme. And the person doesn't represent the trans community, they just happen to be trans. I think when we accept that the behavior of one or even a few isn't representative of the community as a whole, then maybe everyone else will too.

He seems to me like a person with a bizarre fetish who also happens to be trans. There are lots of bizarre fetishes out there, mostly cis folks simply because they outnumber trans folk in the general population, but occasionally they will overlap. What he did and what his customers did doesn't affect me so it didn't bother me that much. I was more disgusted by how law enforcement came up with a contrived way to charge him with a crime even though he clearly wasn't breaking any laws. Really? Indecent exposure applies in a private space with nothing but consenting adults who all chose to be there for that occasion? (and were all fully-clothed actually)
