Hi everyone. I figured I'd say hello before I start becoming a nuisance.
I'm currently living in Australia, unfortunately.

OMG, another Aussie. ;D
Welcome from sunny southern California!
We love our Aussies. The Aussie crew will be checking in soon. Break out the libations and Meat Pie Floaters.
And a little housekeeping ...

Hi ZDR,
The first of the Aussie girls is here. I'm in Adelaide, there are quite a few of us at Susan's. So welcome and join on in.
Just as well there is a mob of us with all those Yankee's to keep in line they are a primitive people that evolution sort of forgot., or is trying to.

Hi and welcome from Tasmania. We don't mind having Australians on here. ;D Cindy is a dear friend, and a has been great source of comfort and information for many of us here, even if she does live in the world's biggest country town. ;)
Karen.

Thank-you for the warm welcome. I'm living in coastal NSW right now, though I will be moving to central Europe in just a few years, I have just a few things to do before I leave.
I'm rather old-fashioned. My interests are in literature, language, history and art. Essentially nothing that helps get employment. :D

Gosh, from the coast of Australia to Central Europe. That's quite a change.
It's like me moving from coastal California to Saskatchewan.
(Sorry, don't mean to offend any Canadians - it's a climate comment)

Typical American trying to show they can spell Saskatchewan. Jamie you left the P out.
Oh it could be a good brand for the iron?
Sorry ZDR just bad running jokes; so where in CE? Going for study or for work? Prague is great but I've only visited for conferences.
Getting work is a problem everywhere and if you are looking for a University/ teaching/research position the prospects seem terrible everywhere at the moment.
Good Luck
Cindy

Silent P, isn't that a gag from Friends?
I'll be going to Germany both to study and to live, most likely forever. The getting work issue was more of a joke as when the new semester starts in July I will be returning to my studies for the next two years, obviously I can't see myself finding the time for work with such a hectic schedule.
