Title: Losing the purse!?

It's not earthshaking but...
Ok, not *losing* the purse. But not carrying one. I actually have a waist pack which is kind of androgynous (I have a guy friend that uses one), but I'd like to try not carrying it.
What I was thinking of was a wallet and key fob (one that attaches to your belt loop). Don't know if I even know where to buy one of those. I don't know that I have seen them?
BTW, I was looking at wallets and saw this: RFID blocking wallet. Anyone have one of these?

I've been seeing more and more of those aluminum wallets, both men and women.
And the wallet on a key fob that attaches to your belt loop? are you talking about like one of those biker type wallets?
I've also been seeing more duct tape wallets too, but apparently some kid makes and sells them locally according to the guy with the bright orange one today, lol.

No, I don't want the wallet on my belt loop.
Duct tape wallet. LOL! I could probably make one, I'm very good with duct tape. :)

I made myself a duct tape wallet the other week:
It's not perfect but it does the job better than the wallet I had before, I find that fabric wallets are too thick to comfortably fit into my pockets, especially in jeans, and although I'd like a nice leather wallet I can't quite justify the price when I can make one out of tape.

Do you mean a wallet with one of those long chains, so you can attach it to your belt loop but keep the wallet in your pocket? I've seen those at stores like Hot Topic.
If you're looking for a keyfob that attaches to your belt loop, I just use a small carabiner and keyrings to organize my keys. I think I got the carabiner at Home Depot in the key section.

No not a wallet that attaches to your belt loop. Just a regular one. Though that's kind of a good idea.
You did a nice job on your duct tape wallet is it Alec? (There are youtube videos on how. The part that puzzled me a bit was the credit card thing, but all doable.) It was funny people saying how expensive they were. A roll of duct tape is what? $4?
Just do a youtube search, Jasper. I just did and there are maybe 20+ videos.
Thinkgeek actually makes them http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts-apparel/accessories/5f21/?srp=7 (http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts-apparel/accessories/5f21/?srp=7)
But then they actually have plush toy microbes.
Thanks for your ideas, guys.

I couldn't find a wallet chain that I was happy with so I went to a hardware store, bought a length of chain that I liked, got a key ring with which to attach it to my wallet (for my wallet I ended up needing to take it to a tailor to have a grommet put in for $6 for the key ring to go through), then I got one of those spring-loaded hook clips for the end of the chain that attaches to my belt loop. It was WAY cheaper than finding the pre-made ones, took very little time to put together and is exactly what I wanted. The hardware store also had lots of different options to attach the chain to the belt loop. YAY for losing the purse!!! BEST feeling ;)

I find video instructions hard to follow so I used this http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Duct-Tape-Wallet (http://www.wikihow.com/Make-a-Duct-Tape-Wallet) but mine came out a bit different as the pictures didn't come up when I made mine.

I don't know whether you applied for your provisional online, but I found it quite amusing that when you do it asks if you want to become an organ donor. It's almost if they expect you to die and be able to take your organs once you start driving :P

In certain areas (especially overseas) I'd worry about pick pockets if I had my wallet dangling from my belt ;)
I just stick my wallet in my back pocket like the majority of other dudes. If I'm traveling and have multiple things to carry I break out my small messenger bag. Keys I have on one of those caribiner things and just slip that through a belt loop (unless I'm traveling then it goes in the messenger bag).

Same here, I'm still attached to wallet chains, though. Julie found me a great one at her job that had gasmasks interspersed between the chains so I love that damn thing. I had a duct tape wallet at one point but it got really disgusting and sticky, so I made myself a fabric one out of scraps a few years back.

I got an inexpensive leather wallet at TJ Maxx and a key fob. It's been really great without the waist pack purse. It's a little harder for using the check card though.
