Well.. it's good that they were there, no? I'm glad you failed. The world would be a lesser place without you. You know? Seriously... if you feel down, find someone to talk to, drop a line or two here, call your mother, anyone. There was a time when I carried the suicide hotline number with me every where I went. I never used it... but you never know.

Talk to someone, anyone. I tried to slit my wrist and then I talked to someone at the ward. That began my journey into womanhood.

TBH, there are lots of things that happen to a person, that can lead them to think that, suicide is the only way out, the problem is I have with that, there is nothing waiting for you after either. You will just dead, nothing else. My words sounds harsh, but some times you have to get a reality check, and understand killing yourself is final, no room for regrets later. I have been depressed and thought "god I want out of this crap".. we all get dark thoughts like this from time to time, there are ways to beat those emotions and realise that you have *so much* to live for, its a great planet, and a beautiful world, and would be less so, with out you in it.
Your a nice person. Let the world know that too, you deserve to be here just as much as anyone else :)

Don't drink again until you get help. It lowers inhibitions, impairs brain functions, and can make you feel worse. Do things that make you feel good instead. When you feel depressed or suicidal, WAIT IT OUT. It sucks, yes, but it will pass and then you can live long enough to beat it. If you die, you can never beat it and you would miss out on anything good that happens. I know that, when one feels really down, it's hard to remember that, but good things do happen. Not to mention that the feeling of beating depression is amazing and is so worth the wait. You have that to look forward to.
(If you can get it where you are, I would recommend a kind of therapy that teaches skills such as CBT.)

Kyyn,
The journey through depression and all that comes with it is exhausting at the very depths of your soul. That journey is not one to travel alone, I tried. There are other ways to beat depression, not all work for all people, and it is hard work. YOU are worthy of the effort, and you are up to the challenge. This I know because you reached out to this caring community, and members responded.
Seeking help can sometimes feel like failure - it's not! You may feel like you are giving up control to someone else - but you are taking control! It can be hard to trust others with your innermost feelings - those feelings lose their power over you when they are shared.
You have a purpose in this world and there are people who care and want to help. Be open to them. The first decision is the most difficult - accepting that you do need help, then accepting the help.
YOU are worthy of the effort, and you are up to the challenge. We are here and can help.
Please let us know how you are doing!

I often think about suicide. I'm not suicidal, my life is just fine, i'm not depressed.
I believe that we are beings of energy trapped in a physical body, and that when we die, our energy gets released. The problem for me is that I see death as something beautiful. To symbolize my beliefs, I have a tattoo of an eagle with the infinity symbol in it's talons. But there are things that I wish to do before I die.
Everyone who thinks of killing themself should have a list of things they want to do before they die. Life goals, dreams. Put the suicide option on the side, and go do what you've wanted to do. Don't let society stop you and hold you back.
We are the creator of the universe. You have the option to see things the way you want to. Look outside, do you see beauty or misery. Look inside yourself. Do you see beauty or misery? There is a beauty in the darkness. But is that what you want to see?
What made me spiritual was a certain drug experience... I was tripping and I was awake to see the sun rise. It was spectacular. It was the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. Go watch the sun rise. The feeling of overwhelming darkness turning into light made me feel connected to the world. Go find something to reconnect yourself.
