Title: Basic STP in mens room?
Post by: Darrin Scott on June 26, 2012, 07:58:27 PM
I've seen some youtube videos of dudes who do this and was wondering if anyone used an STP like the one seen here:

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fimg.photobucket.com%2Falbums%2Fv386%2Fisnt_anything%2Fstp-1.jpg&hash=7df57631c10262e25c336b057b185a71a28f12cb)

I was wondering if anyone used it at a urinal? I plan on only really doing it on ones with walls/doors on the sides and kind-of using my hand to cover it. Mine is much smaller than the ones pictured. Any advice? Tips?

I'd like to hear the responses to this as I'm using the Shewee STP and want to be able to be discreet.  Another thing I'd be interested in is how you put it away after - if you can't give it rinse, do you wipe it with TP or stick the pissy thing in your pocket (unhygienic)?

I have an STP for hiking. I put in a bag, I suppose you could put in a baggie. I have heard that urine is sterile, seems a little gross though just shaking it off and putting in your pocket.

@ Justin 21, I love my Shewee personally.  I don't have the attachment tubing, though.  It's fine size-wise to me and it fits in my pants/coat pocket okay - not sure how it would fair in a jeans pocket.  But I've yet to use it in the mensroom so time will tell if I continue to like it.  I hate the medicine spoon.  I leaked every time and hated having to shove it all but in my junk.  The Shewee has never leaked and I guess that's why I like it really.

If you drink enough water you should be able to pocket it after a shake without there being residual odor. It's more the idea of ickiness than the actual germs involved, and I find I'm okay if I can't smell it. I haven't tried it at a urinal yet though. I'm still practicing at home mostly, currently using a cutup toothpaste tube (lol it says AIM on the side).

The tube looks like it might make it easier to aim with the medicine spoon. I might try that. Sorry I don't have advice.

I use a p-style @ urinals (the kind with lil walls only) and have no problem. I just stick it in my front pocket til I get out of the men's room.

I use a medicine spoon, not much shorter in length than the smaller of those two STP devices.

I use it at the urinal. I don't have a problem unless someone starts talking to me while I pee. I kinda freak out if they do (like most guys) and have to concerntrate extra hard.

I even use it at communal urinals - the big metal ones. If i come across one of these I try to get in the corner and face my hips away from the other guys. If I cant get a corner or I'm feeling extra nervous I will wait.

I actually have resorted to just a medicine spoon because the extra tubing leaks when I go creating a big mess. I was wondering how do you use just the medicine spoon when you go? Where do you put it in your pants? I try to pull my pants down, but my butt shows when I do this and know I can't do that in a public bathroom. With boxer-briefs it's more difficult to get to the hole in the underwear to put the medicine spoon through that and then my pants.

I unbutton and unzip. Put the end into the underwear fly, put my hand in my underwear and pull the spoon through. Then I "spread" place spoon and pee. It does take a bit of practice to have your pants high enough that it wont show off too much ass. I use a cubicle if i dont have underwear with a fly on.

If it's difficult to get to the underwear fly are you maybe wearing boxers that are too tight? Some of my tight boxers make it quite hard. Start practicing with loose boxer shorts (not boxer briefs) until you get the hang of it. It's really easy with cotton boxers.

EDIT: also if you've just pulled the tubing off those spoons the problem could be that there isn't enough length in the spoon. I just melt a hole in the tip of a spoon and use it full length.

This is a very interesting line for me as I want to be able to use an STP at an urinal in the men's room.  I have a medicine spoon type that I am practicing with now.  I am still getting use to peeing standing up.  I can usually make everything work in the shower, but standing at the toilet with jeans on is a problem, mainly getting the medicine spoon in the right place so it doesn't leak.  I willn't try at an urinal until I can be successful at home and do it in a reasonable time, don't want to stand there forever finding the right place before I get wet from pee.  Also how I will wash it afterward is a question I have.

If you're just using a medicine spoon to pee (tubing on it might get more attention..) you can just pee, zip up and wash it when you wash your hands. No-one will look at your hands and if they do, they won't recognize what is in it, let alone know what you're using it for.

I mean, I found a medicine spoon difficult to believe when I actually knew what it would be used for. Nobody will guess that you just stuck it in your pants so you could stp.

I've got a trans friend who is telling anyone who will listen that he pees through a spoon. So I'm feeling less and less confident that this is something that will last.

He won't be able to reach everyone unless you live in a village with 99 other people. Also, why would they see you hold the spoon while washing? My washing is usually no more than holding my hands under the tap. I could easily shield the spoon from view.

Yeah but obviously he is reaching people who know me.

If he's reaching people who know you, odds are that they already know your history, with or without a spoon.

And remember, if urinals fail, there's always the stall. Just be the lazy or pee-shy guy, nobody will notice or care.
