Title: The attraction of Long flowing silk/satin nightgowns!!!
Post by: PrettyFlowingGown on April 07, 2007, 11:49:25 PM
Weird, but true.....
If your like me and wear alot of satin or silk polyester flowing nightgowns, you carry a satin or silk "scent" with you. You even carry it when you put on mens clothes. I find it very beautiful, and relaxing. It creates a feminine aura when your in man attire. Sometimes when I'm at work, I work closely to another female and shes often asked me if I'm wearing perfume, but its just from the nightgowns I've worn the night before. I dont know how it happens.

Some nights I like to wear 2 long flowing nightgowns at once, that creates more......

I Feel very princess like when I dress in too nightgowns.

I bought 2 of the most beautiful nightgowns even in St. Louis in 2004 on a US visit. They were the longest flowing gowns I've ever seen and fell in love with them. I'm just wondering if anyone else has the same feeling with nightgowns or can see where I'm coming from.

Even my whole unit smells of satin and silk at times, My lady friend asked me about it last week and said I'm dressing too much...

I hadn't noticed a scent, but I do favour a pair of satin nightgowns myself.

There's something about the smooth 'hand' of the fabric that feels so very good, so very 'right'.

I'm keeping an eye out for ones to add to my closet, but it's hard to find what I'm looking for.

This last winter I wore this flannel granny gown for warmth:

(https://www.susans.org/proxy.php?request=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.vermontcountrystore.com%2Fimages%2Fus%2Flocal%2Fproducts%2Fdetail%2Ff01669_dt.jpg&hash=c075c81f5d3e5c31a3b4dc9a43730e5687aa0a9b)

The nice thing is it came in talls.

Now that it's starting to warm up, I've switched back to the satin gowns...

I don't like nightgowns. At lkeast not for sleeping in. They wrap around me and twist in all the wrong palces and is very uncomfortable to sleep in for me.
Also, my Mom is a major nightgown person and I tend to NOT do what my Mom does.

The problem with night gowns (to which I was addicted before I started my RLE) is tha my shoulders get cold.  Even in summer, our house gets down to 65 at night.

I do wear flannels in winter, now, and wear satiny night shirts in summer.  My husband applauds my sensibility because bed is a place to sleep.  <Sigh>

I love nightgowns.  Unfortunately, I much prefer lightweight ones with sleeves (rather than shoulder straps) and those aren't easy to find.  I was happy to discover this style of nightgown: http://tinyurl.com/2akufv (I got that in blue, and a knee-length version of the same style in pink.)

My problem with most of the nightgowns I can find is that they seem to be designed for the wearer to look "sexy" for someone else, which isn't what I'm after, or possibly they're designed for warmth (which might be good after I'm not living in a dormitory that's automatically heated to a ridiculous degree in wintertime.)

Same with me here.  I've never liked pajamas/nightgowns much--especially to sleep in.  Probably because I would get too warm.

I like gowns but I usually sleep naked in the summer. I can't sleep in gown now because my spouse would totally disapprove. When my wife was away I did wear a nightgown. It was the best three nights of sleep I have ever had.

ya, i have some pajamas and night gowns to wear to bed, yet i [dont] have "an attraction" for them.  i could wear a simple tshirt and jeans to bed too and i wouldn't know the difference.

My first item of feminine apparel was my mother's satin nightgowns which I "borrowed" when I was 12 years old. Made me an addict of satin nightgowns, slips, blouses, and evening gowns for life. >:D

I sleep more or less in the nude. Just panties! I want to hide the horrible mistake someone made down below.

I am in the mid west. It does get to 20 below at times. Even lower during a cold winter. I keep my heat on 60*. I am as toasty as a bug in a rug under all of my blankets.

I love nylon tricot gowns with at least a flutter sleeve. They are really tactile sensuous and make it easier to get out of bed. I prefer the waltz length but the full length are utilitarian after surgery .  Wife and I wear the same styles.

I love silky nightgowns!  My wife lets me sleep with one on a couple of nights a week.  Best sleep I ever get.  We went looking for one for a few months ago and it was very hard to find one.  Everything now is cotton.  Ugh!
